I used it for repairing my dishwasher, and it worked perfectly. I wouldn't be able to drain it. Power was getting to the old one, but it I was able to successfully replace this assembly after replacing it. This assembly is built so you don't have to disconnect the drain hose in order to replace it. Just a tip, the water will drain out, so try to get as much out as you can before removing the old pump assembly. Have towels at the ready for any water that remains.

My reasoning for buying this was that I would save some money. I bought another one after mine failed after three months and I had to spend a third of the price of a replacement original part. The original Electrolux I bought this time is the one I bought. No, it is not even the money, it is the work of uninstalling and reinstalling the dishwasher that costs so much. The worst part is that the return deadline has passed.

I took my husband's dishwasher apart because it wouldn't drain. He isn't a plumber or appliance technician, but he is pretty handy, and he likes to put things back together. found this impeller listed on Amazon and ordered it after thinking it might be the impeller. He said he would give it a try, and if it didn't work, we would replace it. As far as ease of installation was concerned, he was able to perform the task himself and assemble the dishwasher again. I have opened the dishwasher and it drains and works great now. As for the thickness, I am not sure what they mean by that, so I have not rated it.

It has been necessary for me to replace the pump on our clothes washer twice, so I felt I could handle it. Although this was a bit more complicated, YouTube videos made it easy to figure out. It saved me over $500 and works great.

I am very pleased with my purchase of this Replacing the product was very easy and quick, but there was a bit of reworking involved It was a bit tricky wiring the dishwasher since you would have to pull the dishwasher out, but the pump assembly isn't at fault. This pump was a 100% replacement.

It wasn't the easiest thing to replace, but that's not the motor's fault. It fit right in and began working immediately. It worked perfect on the very first wash I did with it. Installing this device would have cost at least $200 if it was purchased and installed by a plumbing specialist.
