I was able to accomplish the whole removal of the old pump in less than 30 minutes, as well as the installation of the new one. There is no problem with this. The cost to replace the same pump (part only, no installation included) is nearly $100 at Sears.
As far as I know, they have stopped making my part, but this one is the current updated version. Furthermore, they narrowed the entryway of the pump to reduce the risk of clogging.
Installation is easy and of good quality. A clamp is clamped on two hoses and 2 screws are used. Make sure to keep a small bucket and old towel at hand to empty any water that might be in the hoses or pump rod. To attach the new belt, be careful when placing the washer on its back. Use a stool and chair to support it. Replace your pump with a new belt when it needs to be replaced. As time goes on, the rubber belt will become shiny and smooth and will also develop small cracks or fractures.
A YouTube video helped me get my washer to start again after it had locked up. Replaced this part with one that I found on-line by looking up the part number. It just needed two screws to hold This part is worth about the same amount as the washer. I had it running within 10 minutes of beginning the project. Locally, they wanted $80 plus taxes for an OEM version. So I paid $25 for an OEM version.
Product of high quality.
There was nothing else I needed to do with I also found it to be I was surprised that I paid so much for such a quality product. The item is a great value for the price.
There is value. The best replacement ever.
