Selected User Reviews For PolyScience Culinary PSC-VBF-0812 Chamber Vacuum Bags, 8 by 12-Inch, Clear, Case of 250
The dimensions were more appropriate for our needs.
I bought a Polyscience 300 Chamber Vacuum, which came with a small selection of bags in various sizes that were compatible with the machine, about 20 or 25 of each: Bags in the sizes of a pint (6x10), quart (8x12), and gallon (12x14).
These bags are thick but smooth, so you can roll them down to fill without the bag wrinkling as much as heavy wrinkles may prevent the bag% I had no trouble sealing these bags at all. I even used these bags to seal split bones in chicken and the bones didn't puncture the bags when I used a medium seal. The bags have a notch on the closed end that makes it simple to open; simply tear the bag open. They're about 3 mil thick, if memory serves me correctly. br>br>First, I ran out of the small bags, so I ordered some generic replacements from a vacuum sealer specialty website (3. There were 5 cents per bag vs. 18 cents per bag here, despite the fact that the minimum quantity was 1000). The generic bags' quality was only slightly inferior to these, and they lacked the convenient tear notch, which was a minor inconvenience, but the price difference was significant. In addition, the generic bags came in a much wider range of sizes. br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be These are meant to be used with chamber vacuums (rather than food saver vacuums that suck the air out and then seal). Make sure the opening on these bags fits your seal bar if you're using a chamber other than the Polyscience 300.
This is the first time I've been dissatisfied with an Amazon product. This product is a complete waste of money and time. These bags were purchased to go with a Foodsaver model V2220. We still have some of our old bags, and they work fine with them, so the foodsaver is not to blame. Although these bags will seal, they will not create a vacuum!.
These bags aren't even close to being useful with my professional vacuum sealer. They have a smooth surface on both sides and do not create a vacuum. This is by far the worst Amazon product I've ever purchased. It's inexcusable that Amazon would sell such a low-quality product. It makes me wonder what else they're selling that's of poor quality these days. Thanks to the fact that I live near a Cabela's, I was able to quickly obtain dependable bags when I needed them. You'll end up spending more time trying to get these bags to seal than you would if you bought twice as many high-quality bags.
Bags will not be sucked dry. I have polyscience 150, as well as the bags that came with the unit work, but not the theses. Because there are no "ridges" on these, it's possible that this is the problem.
