To fit into a 9 gallon vacuum can, the 12 gallon is folded at the bottom. This is fine because the bottom of the bag fills with dirt and the suction is already around the bag's sides. The 9 gallon can is simply hung inside the 12 gallon can. Unless you're vacuuming up a lot of heavy stuff like garage dirt or rocks, this usually works just fine. In this case, the bottom of the bag may blow out, causing your secondary filter bag to become filthy and the motor to become clogged with dirt and dust. br>br>Overall, these have worked well for me in my 9 gallon Filtex vac. These bags are also the most cost-effective option I've found for Filtex vacuums.

Oh My! We've bought these bags three times and they work perfectly in our central vacuum system. Having five dogs that come in and out several times a day, as well as the constant shedding of fur from four of them, causes a lot of dust, dirt, and hair to accumulate in our home. Our central vac system works well, but the entire process could be ruined if we used inferior/cheap bags. These bags work just as well as the OEM bags that came with our central vacuum system. They're well-made, hold a lot of trash, are simple to replace, and are also reasonably priced. It comes highly recommended!.
