Does this outlet have a light almond or ivory color?

A mistake has been made in the title It is a light almond color in the part number. A request has been made to Amazon to make the correction.

What should you do to get the covering out of the way? Do you just push the plug?

I don't think there is anything wrong with that. The one I received, though, sometimes got stuck and I had to push and move the plug a bit to get it to fit.

It is a great product that gets the job done

Clearly, the author has done a good job with this A strong, well-built product that is suitable for dedicated 120v, The power adapter I bought for my electric car charger (which draws 12 amps for many hours at a time) is perfect. As of now, everything is working fine. In addition, I did not manage to find this receptacle in brown at any of the stores I checked (including my local big boxes). All those I asked had white or almond instead of brown, which I ordered it from Amazon in brown since they had it in stock. Amazon has an excellent inventory, so thanks for carrying it.

Keeps a plug in well, but be careful with it

They are really good at holding the plug when these outlets are tampered with. If you are plugging a 2 wire cord into an outlet, make sure you have it turned correctly. There is a risk that the slide will be damaged.
