This is the first photo I received. Genuine GE was mentioned in the description. I paid the extra money for GE parts to ensure that they would fit properly, as I had previously had problems with non-genuine parts. These ostensibly genuine parts aren't going to lay flat. The second photo shows a genuine GE part that fits properly, sits flat, and has GE writing in the center, whereas the other FAKE GE PART does not sit flat or have the writing in the center. BEWARE! This product is a poor copy of a genuine GE product that is falsely advertised as such. RECOMMENDATION: DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL BUY FROM THIS SELLER! AMAZON MUST TAKE ACTION AGAINST THIS SELLER FOR FALSE ADVERTISING!.
The coil itself appeared to be in good condition, and the center piece even had the words "Genuine CalRod" imprinted on it. However, there is one significant difference. If you look closely at the photo I've attached, you'll notice that the proper size 'clip' near the connection posts is missing. The coil will not stay connected to the power socket if the clip is not the correct size. If you move your pot or pan around on the burner, it will become dislodged and disconnected from the power source. It's crucial to have a large clip. Needless to say, I'll have to send these back and continue looking for the correct large clip part.
Original Equipment is depicted in this image. This does not imply that it is located in the middle of the plate. br>It appears to be of good quality, but it isn't exactly what was advertised. What I bought is a mystery to me. The prongs were bent on the ends by the coil when it arrived loose in a manila envelope with no packing around it. It appears to work now that they have been straightened, but I do not believe this is how I should receive something I paid a little more for because it was an EXACT replacement for the burner that was on my stove.
I was in desperate need of something like this. As I discovered the hard way, you must obtain the model number from your stove before ordering. I took a chance on some off-brand burners, thinking I'd save money by buying four instead of one, but they didn't work, despite their appearance. If your model number is listed in the specifications, this will suffice.
Because I couldn't find any 3 slot drip pans, I had to replace my burners. As shown in the photo, these are not genuine calrod. The two that were delivered were a low-cost knockoff of a well-known brand. The 8" and 6" burners are not meant to be displayed together. Nobody wants to have a mismatched set of surface burners.
They sent me an aftermarket 8-inch coil burner that didn't have the ge stamped on the coil's tripod support. One of the coils was broken due to poor manufacturing; if you're going to advertise a genuine ge product for sale, don't sell an aftermarket product; I later read other reviews on the same product and found that others had experienced the same problem. It's not good business.
br>br>When repairing your appliance, we recommend only using genuine GE parts. We build our appliances to exacting standards and put them through rigorous testing. br>The first one I ordered came from GE and was genuine and well-made. The one I got recently is a waste of time. The ol' switcheroo has been done by Amazon. Nothing about the image or the description is correct. Amazon is in charge of both shipping and selling. G Mustafa Khawaja is the vendor who did not sell BS on Amazon. I'm owed $15 by this vendor. 00 dollars for depreciation and fuel for 30 miles of driving. In addition, I charge $60 for 50 minutes of my time.
There are no markings or branding on the unit that indicate it is a GE. It's the same as a generic unit I bought before. I bought this in the mistaken belief that it was a genuine GE replacement part, despite the lack of markings to prove it. The unit's center is completely smooth and free of branding.
