I believe that the markings could wear off over time, but not for a long time if ever used in normal circumstances. In my opinion, this is an excellent product. It also has a pleasant appearance.
Yes, the bottom dies indent about an eighth inch toward the top of the cup, I would say yes, and I don't think the bottom would matter, as it wouldn't touch the blades. I have a hand immersion blender, and the mind would defiantly fit in the cup, by the way, I have a 22oz cup.
Here's what I've come up with based on previous responses - 3 5/8", 3 4/8", or 3 8/8" are the options. I'm going to go with the middle ground and hope for the best!

I'm a stay-at-home mom who works part-time. wishing to be at home- be a barista who, despite having an espresso machine, steamed my milk in a coffee mug. The mug did a decent job, but it couldn't match the quality of a coffee shop's lattes. This pitcher was purchased to help me improve my milk frothing quality. I have not been let down. The first time I used it, I knew it would make a significant difference in my daily latte. I had perfect steamed milk after only a few uses. Yay! br>br>I was unsure what size to order based on previous reviews, but I went with the 12oz and am very pleased with it. This pitcher is well made, cleans beautifully, is a breeze to use, and was packaged nicely. br>br>It's the perfect size and shape for me to make any sized latte I could want, and I love the way the pitcher fits in my hand. br>br> It has a micro-USB port on it. I don't use fiber cloth, but it's a nice addition. br>br>This product comes highly recommended!.
There is one thing to keep in mind: This is the absolute maximum amount of liquid that will fit in the container, whether it is 12 oz or 20 oz. If you have a large number of frothers, only half-fill the pitcher. Because of the foam it will produce, it should be set at least a little higher. I bought the 12 oz, which is perfect for foaming milk for a large coffee or americano, but I wouldn't recommend it for making a latte larger than 6-ounces. 8 oz. (or whatever amount of espresso you prefer). You'll have to froth the milk in two batches in the end. The 20 oz is most likely the more versatile option. br>br>Overall, this is still a high-quality product.
I got this pitcher the other day - I noticed a few harshly negative reviews criticizing the construction, pointing out sharp spot welds, black spots/smudges, and the use of epoxy. yeah. I didn't get any of it - As far as I can tell, this pitcher is perfect - There are no sharp edges, shoddy spot welds, or other defects. I used it this morning to great effect and am very pleased with it.
use of one hand It's made of stainless steel and should last a lifetime if properly cared for. It's also free of plastic. Bonus - The box comes with a microfiber cloth and is simple to wrap as a gift.
It was a total success. I went with the 32oz size. I didn't want the milk to overflow the Star Coffee milk frothing pitcher, so I made it bigger. In a large mug, I poured 1/2 cup of coffee and dissolved 2 tablespoons of sugar. Coffee with honey from the local area. After that, I microwaved 1/2 cup whole milk for one minute. I added 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the milk in my frothing pitcher. 1 tsp. vanilla extract, a pinch of cinnamon of Cocoa. I frothed it for about 30 minutes (using my Elementi milk frothing machine). It doubled in size in 45 seconds, with a thick layer of foam on top. I poured the milk into my mug and gave it a gentle stir with a spoon. The foam was then spooned on top of that. I didn't add anything to the top this time. It was delectable and comparable to any other latte I've ever had: ) I'm having a lot of fun collecting more specialty coffee recipes. Because I usually only froth for one serving, I went with the 12 oz size. I like having the ounce lines on the frother cup because it allows me to froth 6 cups at a time. To fill the 12 oz container, you'll need 8 oz of milk. The milk is at the temperature I prefer by the time it reaches 12 oz, and the cup cleans up easily and goes to the dishwasher. I've only had it for a week, but it's something I'd buy again.
LOVE IT. Use it on a daily basis: Dbr>Slightly tilt it and whisk away. The good news is that depending on how long you whisk it, you can control how foamy it becomes. It only takes 5 or 10 seconds for me to complete the task. Whisk for about 30 seconds if you want it super foamy or entirely foam. (At least for me) I've discovered that heating my almond milk (which is homemade rather than store bought, so it's not as watery) to a boil, then placing it in the pitcher and whisking it makes it more creamy: )br>br>After each use, please clean it. It only takes a minute or two. I rinse the pitcher with water and then add a few drops of dish soap before rinsing again. With the whisk, I simply turn on the hottest setting on the faucet and whisk it for a few seconds (just the whisk part!) and voila! Easy!.
