Questions & Answers
No, because this is only the remote and not the receiver.
After changing the code inside the remote, mine looked exactly like the picture and worked perfectly with my fan. As a result, it's likely to appeal to all Hampton Bay fans.
On the fan, just beneath the motor and above the blades, there should be a small slider switch. (the part where the rod connecting the fan blades to the motor is located) This switch causes the fan to turn "backwards," which is useful for forcing hot air down to people during the winter months. It accomplishes this by forcing air upwards towards the ceiling rather than downwards. down. Warm air is forced down by the updraft in this situation. (If you want to be warmer) If you don't want to be warmer, slide the switch the other way to return to "normal" operation.
I'm not sure, but it looks and works exactly like the original.

My Hunter UC7042T (circuit board model number) remote stopped working in the 1990s. The ceiling fan was fine. br>br>After looking on Amazon, I discovered that the Bayicon remote could be used instead. It was worth a shot at $15 with free prime returns. One point of contention was that the Bayicon only had four dip switches, whereas my Hunter remote had five. My Hunter fan dip switch setting was: FYI, a reviewer with the same situation said it worked for them, so I ordered it and it worked great. ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON, ON br>br>And to the reviewer who claimed the remote was a fake because the circuit board only had the dip switch block, I disagree. I noticed the same thing when I looked at the board, but I'm guessing the rest of the circuits were on the "back" side of the board, hidden from view.
It's far superior to the original. My buttons had worn out and the plastic had become discolored. My mount, which came with both the mount and the remote, was also broken. This purchase has made me very happy.
I figured why not give it a shot since it has the same four dip switches as my old one. It performs admirably.
This is a dead ringer for the original, and it works flawlessly. It was a good investment.
Our previous remote had stopped working, so we ordered this one. Because it turned out to be the remote receiver in the fan, we had to return it. BUT, up until that point, it had fulfilled all of its promises.
These work great and are nearly identical to factory models at a fraction of the cost. This is the third one I've bought because my child keeps stealing them, and this one isn't tethered to the side of my bed like the previous two.
With the exception that it does not say Hampton Bay, it is identical to the factory remote. With my fan, it works flawlessly.
