I had a fan that was completely out of whack. The instructions were simple, and given that this is a "trial and error" project, it was nice to see that stated explicitly in the instructions. br>Even at high speeds, the plastic strips stayed on the blades, and once I got them balanced, the peel-off effect was gone. and-stick weights were easy to apply and seemed to match the weight of the clips perfectly. br>With the exception of the time spent waiting for the fan blades to slow down after each trial run, this was a straightforward and quick fix to 7. 5gm out- blade that is in balance.
There were a lot of weights in this one, as well as four sliding test weights. And they're required; however, measuring a blade tip from the ceiling in search of a sagging blade is ineffective and ineffective. And it's not uncommon to hit a single blade that has a significant impact. However, once you've found it, you'll need to ck. Others may require you to completely balance the fan, and this kit provides you with the necessary tools.
The Clips are 2 g and the Weights are 3 g. Kit that is both simple and effective. I was able to take a badly out of balance fan and almost completely eliminate the wobble by following the instructions. There will be no more squeaks or clicks. One finding that could be useful to others: Each clip is approximately 2g in weight, with a total weight of 3g. So three clips equals two weights, not three, which is a little counter-intuitive. Arithmetic that is intuitive but not difficult.
The clips used to find the best balance point could only be used with thick 'wood' blade fans, which the seller failed to mention. When I tried to use it on a fan with a metal blade that was much thinner than the blades shown in the listing, the clips would not stay in place even when the fan was turned off. br>br>While I was going through the trial and error balancing procedure, I used duct tape to keep the actual weight in place. I found a good balance point and remained 'permanently' attached to the weight as instructed. So far, everything has gone well, and I'm hoping it will continue to do so.
The weight and test clips are fine, but the double-sided tape is terrible. My fan had three weights fly off it. I bought some 3M double-sided tape and it works much better; if you buy these, I recommend doing the same.
In the evenings, living in an apartment with a wobbling ceiling fan drove me insane. It wobbled so much that the chains on the glass fixtures rattled and clinked. The problem was completely resolved as a result of this. There was no longer any wobble after using two weights, one on each of the two blades.
Made in China and grossly overpriced.
I only got three sets instead of four because the package had been opened. Someone must have used one set and returned the rest, which is unfortunate because it wasn't checked before being resold. Ugh.
