I'd say it's pretty normal; I interpret the noise level of my current fan as a measure of its effectiveness at removing steam from the bathroom. If that helps put your mind at ease, this fan sounds like a kitten walking on a carpet when compared to the 13-year-old one I replaced in January of this year.
Hello, I'm afraid this won't work.

The fan assembly arrived in three days and was a perfect fit for the existing housing. This unit, of course, is much quieter than the previous one; no more noisy wobbling to drown out the sound of a running shower! Save the old screw from the old unit because the new assembly does not include one. The screw hole and the cutout for the receptacle are exactly the same size. I'm overjoyed that these fan assemblies are still being produced for installations that could be more than 25 years old. When ordering these parts, do your homework and keep track of your model number and other details to ensure that what you're getting is compatible; I had to "peel the onion" to find exactly what I needed. Look for clues on other websites that specialize in spare parts, then return to Amazon, as I did.
Perfect replacement that is simple to install and runs quietly.
Fits in the existing box perfectly. It runs quieter than I expected and makes no strange noises that could indicate bad bearings or blades that need to be realigned.
Thank you for a perfect fit and a quick delivery!.
