Questions & Answers

How long does it take to inflate a flat car tire of 15" normal size from completely flat to 40 lb psi?

I did my truck tire from the ground up in about 5 to 8 minutes. It will only take a few minutes. It's quite effective. I've used it on camper tires and truck tires several times.

What is the maximum psi that this can reach?

According to the owner's manual, the maximum pressure is 150 pounds per square inch. I've never tried inflating anything to that level.

What is the procedure for filling dual-axle tires with this method? I imagine the inside dual is simple, but how about the outside dual?

A larger compressor is recommended if you want to inflate dually tires. This one might work, but I wouldn't use it because of the time constraints.

Will the unit be able to inflate high-pressure tires between 80 and 100 psi, and if so, how quickly?

There will be no 60 pound limit and you will move slowly.

I'm afraid I won't be able to suggest it
3/5

I'm a big Ryobi fan and own a number of their tools and accessories that all use the same size battery. This tire pump only lasts about 5 minutes before overheating and shutting down. It has a pressure rating of 100 PSI. I'm attempting to inflate an RV tire from 92 psi to 102 psi, but it stops working before reaching 100 psi. ergh. I have spare battery packs that I have to swap out every 5 minutes, and the same goes for inflating SUV tires from 30 psi to 36 psi; I can get one tire done and half of another done before it stops working. ergh. Except for this one, I've never had a problem with a Ryobi product.

Ryobi has let me down on this one
3/5

I noticed it started making bad noises after three months of intermittent use to keep tires inflated. After a while, I got the impression that the motor was just spinning without powering the compressor. I attempted to contact Ryobi via their website twice but received no response. br>br>Of all the Ryobi tools I own, this one has been the biggest letdown - Both the tool and the company are fantastic! br>br>Edited to add: I contacted Ryobi, who simply stated that this was not one of their authorized dealers, and that they were not responsible. If I had purchased from one of their distributors - each and every one of them - They would have honored their warranty if that had been the case. I like the tools and am grateful to the gods that I haven't had much trouble with them. As I previously stated, I am extremely dissatisfied with Ryobi as a company.

It's quite good
4/5

In general, it's quite practical. Using an air tank, compressor, or plug-in to inflate tires around the house is much more difficult. Although I like the slim design, I prefer the older model's top controls. An even better feature would be if it came with a DC adapter, allowing you to simply plug it into your car and use it while on the road without having to worry about keeping the Ryobi battery charged. If you had that feature, it would seem natural to have a higher-end model with a battery that could jumpstart your car on the market.

It does exactly what it says
5/5

Setting the maximum pump pressure in an unusual way. It does, however, work well. I used a 3/4-full 4 AH battery to add air to four tires that were averaging 33 degrees Fahrenheit. Each tire was inflated to 35 pounds per square inch at 44 psi, and the battery was at 1 bar when finished, indicating that it needed to be recharged. Much better option than Ryobi's cheap pistol grip hand held version, which I own!.

Don't buy this nonsense! I have the Dwalt version and really enjoy it
3/5

I figured I'd get one of these to try out since I had some ryobi batteries. I used it for about a month before it completely broke down and all I get is an error message. I tried all of my ryobi batteries, which worked fine in everything else. The return window has now been closed, according to the software. It's only been a few months since we last saw each other. Avoid this piece of garbage and opt for the Dewalt instead.

This inflator is excellent, but it does not include a quick connect for tire valves
4/5

After camping with a friend and using an older model, I decided to purchase this inflator. His model (which is no longer available) had a quick disconnect for tire valves, but this one did not. Screwing the hose on and off 8 tires is cumbersome and time consuming for me because I use it primarily for my RV and tow vehicle when I travel. Aside from that, I'm extremely pleased with the unit's performance thus far. I've only had it for three weeks, but I've already put it to good use.

To get the best results, use the large battery
5/5

One trip, several tires I've used it on my Gator at 7 PSI, as well as my Tractor and Truck at 55 PSI, and it works flawlessly on all of them and everything in between. Before the 3°F freeze, I used it to clear the water out of the shop's plumbing. I was able to do it with the low pressure high volume side, which is probably not a good idea but worked for me. I had low points in my plumbing, and I didn't need to push the water up, just out. It was also used to inflate a mattress. Easy. br>I have over a dozen items that require air, and I've used this on each of them. This is one of the most useful tools I've ever purchased. I save my back by not having to lug around a large tank or a compressor.
