Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use a framing nailer with this compressor or is it only for finishing?

Yes, I use this as a power source for my Hitachi framing nailer. Maybe 30- 40 . Before turning on the compressor, drive 141 x 3" nails into dimensional lumber. Is it possible to frame with a more powerful compressor? Sure. However, the weight and price of this item are very appealing; however, it is underpowered for roofing or sheathing applications.

Is it possible to use this as a roofing material?

It's ideal for running one roofing gun. I purchased two of them, and they were both capable of handling the workload. And, in response to one of these guys' responses to your question, he stated that the compressor would run continuously and burn up," which is not only false but also impossible. To even come close to burning up that compressor, you'd have to be able to lay 5 square an hour for an entire day, not just an hour or two. I'm not saying you couldn't lay 5 square in an hour, but you wouldn't be able to do it for several hours at a time. For the first two hours, I put on 11 bundles per hour, and the compressor did not run continuously, and even if it had, it would not have burned up. Those particular compressors are made to turn on and off as many times as you can get them to.

Is an air hose required if I purchase this for my husband, and if so, what should I purchase? I'm not familiar with any of this. Thank you very much. ?

Yes, a 1/4" x 25' PVC air hose with a fitting is available.

How long does it take for pressure to build up during the initial start-up phase? Thanks. ?

Check all connections for a loose one if it isn't holding pressure.

The compressor fills up quickly and is as quiet as you'd expect
5/5

The use of firearms is acceptable. I have included the entire review. The compressor is fantastic: Over the course of a weekend, there were no leaks, even with the hose connected. The tank fills up quickly, and the motor is relatively quiet given its size. br>Nailer for the finish: I've hammered over 1,000 nails into it and it's still going strong. The pressure adjustment knob, on the other hand, is sluggish and slow to respond. Set your tank regulator to 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit, and you'll be fine. 80 psi, then adjust until nails are flush, then TAPE NOB IN PLACE and adjust the pressure regulator for harder or softer wood as needed. br>Brad nailer is a tool that is used to attach a piece of wood to another piece of wood I've run a few hundred Brads through it and it's worked flawlessly. It's not adjustable, but that's easily fixed with a tank regulator. br>Stapler: a stapler is a machine that attaches two pieces of paper together I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet.

It is, without a doubt, quite loud
5/5

Playing it in the background is not a good idea. This is one of my favorite combinations. I considered renting, but for the price, I decided to purchase, with the intention of using them in future projects. It satisfies my needs. Please do not express your displeasure with the volume level. A COMPRESSOR is a device that compresses air. I'm sorry, but I've read far too many reviews on that subject. Yes, some are likely to be quieter than others. If you're worried about this, invest in some noise-cancelling headphones. The price was higher than what I had planned to pay at Harbor Freight. These should, in my opinion, be of a higher standard.

On the fourth day, the compressor failed
3/5

I was very excited to receive this package, which included a nice little compressor as well as some nice nail guns. I already own a framing nailer from these guys, so I assumed I'd enjoy the others as well. Armed forces are fantastic. After only 3 days of use, the compressor failed. This is a small-scale remodel, I'm talking about a three-bedroom house. There are 400 nails in total. The pressure will not rise above 105 psi. There are no external leaks; the pump simply does not work. Now it runs all the time. lame, lame, lame, lame, lame, lame, lame, The name Bostitch was given a higher thought.

It's a pain to use an 18 gauge nailer
3/5

I bought it primarily to replace a 2" 18 gauge Brad nailer that I had. This nailer is a complete disaster. It is constantly jammed. I'm used to Porter Cable Brad nailers, which have a quick release mechanism for jam removal. Because the Bostitch is a nightmare, it's possible that Porter Cable had a patent on it. Three hex screws must be removed. So you have to look for a metric hex key set five times a day on the job site. Then, once you've removed the top plate. It's spring-loaded, so small parts fly all over the place. You'll also need to re-enter your information. The jams occur on a regular basis, so assemble it every time. It's a tool that's almost entirely useless. My predicament worsened when the ball head hex key in the screw broke off. It is not the fault of Bostitch. But damn. To form a crude slot, I had to file the crap out of that top plate. To insert a screwdriver with a flat head. The tool was on the verge of being destroyed. All of this occurred the first time I attempted to use it. On the fifth nail, it jammed, resulting in this horrible chain of events.

Surprisingly better than DeWalt; I had just ordered a DeWalt equivalent compressor and 18 gauge brad nailer before purchasing this
5/5

I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of their compressor, which had a leak right away. Furthermore, the quality was of poor quality - DeWalt's products aren't known for their reliability. The DeWalt brad nailer was nice, but the grip and firing trigger mechanisms were all made of plastic. For the money, the nailer was "ok" - I'd give it a 4 out of 5 star rating. br>br>I decided to look around to see what else was available for a similar price and came across this. I've always used DeWalt tools and have never looked into Bostitch. In addition to the 18 gauge nailer, I discovered this combo kit, which included a 16 gauge nailer and a stapler. This had to be a shoddy job, I reasoned. After reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. br>br>As soon as I opened the box and felt the tools, I knew this was a better product than the DeWalt combo. Rubber feet and two quick connects, just like the DeWalt, are included. In contrast to the DeWalt, this came with a hose. The Bostitch compressor's plastic parts are much stiffer - If you bump it the wrong way, it doesn't seem to break. br>The Bostitch tools are equipped with rubber anti-slip grips. The DeWalt has plastic grips, whereas the slip grips are made of rubber. br>br>All three Bostitch tools were of excellent quality for the price, especially since the compressor was included. br>br>If you're thinking about getting a DeWalt combo, I'd strongly advise you to get this instead. You will not be let down!.

The kit is excellent, but the price changes from time to time
5/5

This kit is one of my favorites because of the high quality and variety of items included. What I despise about it is how frequently the price changes. br>I ordered it, and the price dropped by $50 within the return window! I requested Amazon's consideration, but their "offer" was to return and re-order. What the hell is that order? Yes, you must pay for shipping, which will cost you $40 because this item is heavy: Okay, this isn't a problem with the product, but rather with Amazon's bizarre price matching policy. Having said that, this kit is well worth the investment. The finish nailer is powerful, the brad nailer is smooth, and the stapler is ideal for upholstery work. br>br>The air gaps can be adjusted, which is a plus. The pro is that it prefers bostitch nails (over other brands) and they appear to be a bit more expensive, so I feel like an HP printer locked into these expensive cartridges while the printer itself is reasonably priced:br>The con is that I noticed that it prefers bostitch nails (over other brands) and they appear to be a bit more expensive, so I feel like an HP printer locked into these expensive cartridges while the printer itself is reasonably priced: )br>br>I can recommend this because it has everything! br>The compressor makes a little more noise than I'm used to and vibrates a lot, but the rubber feet keep it in place rather than allowing it to move around too much. br>br>excellent purchase!.

It's ideal for do-it-yourself home improvements
5/5

This beats the living hell out of nailing things in by hand as a new person learning to do home repairs. Replaced the trim in the lower level with a few *TAK TAK TAK* and it was done. I took a few steps back after taking a quick look around. Something else, surely, must be secured. The stairwell to the second floor has been replaced. TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK T Huh. A lovely ledge would be ideal for this. TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK TAK T Ledge. br>br>This has made a huge difference when it comes to doing all kinds of big jobs that require a lot of nailing or stapling.
