Compared to some of the others here, I do not favor these as much. My use for them may be It is rated 4 stars because of the purpose of the product, but the sides and height of it are not appealing to me I found it to be quite irritating, ruining my intended use of it. On a side-by-side enclosed ice fishing trailer, I was planning to use these. In reality, however, my complaint is more about my use of them versus how they are designed and built in general. I was astonished by the height of these, they're about 3 inches tall, I didn't expect that and I blame myself, but the description is confusing. They are so tall that I am worried that, if we take the ARGOS, Wilcrafts, Quads, or anything else besides the sled, they will break. Their height gets in the way, so they need to be moved. They will definitely make it difficult for people to secure things to the floor ties, and I worry that they could trip over them walking in, changing, loading machines, and so on and so forth. If you have an open trailer, flatbed trailer, or something of the sort, those are probably what you would use for a continuously driving on-and-off If only the ice fishing trailer had a multiunit design, or if the racing garage had a rolling garage In any case, these things will impede progress. In short, if your trailer will be used for ANYTHING else, keep looking, but if you're looking for a direct path, these are great.
This was the only trip I got through the trailer before the mounting screws broke off. I used 4x4 is on the back of the guides to absorb the pressure of the ski while turning to reach the ramp door. I assembled them exactly as shown on the Caliber website, but I had to reinforce the backsides with 4x4"s to catch the ski during the turn. The way they are now, I doubt they will last. There is no point in it. The best way to proceed is to invest in a few 2x6s from PT, lay them flat, cut your angles, and then triple the lengths and screw them to the deck.
It's great to work with them. Make sure you keep the curve from the man far enough back - You have an enclosed trailer with a door. The tip of the ski will still extend over the top of the guide, which could cause damage to your door, even though it's relatively high. By moving the curve back a bit, the sleds loaded without any trouble. * Update * In January 2018, we had the following rainfall There was a break in the last guide in the curve just behind the front (low) It was fortunate that I was going very slowly and the trailer was not damaged. The temperature was 1. 23 degrees Fahrenheit, so the cold may have been a contributing factor, but hey, this is for snowmobiles. It's supposed to be used in warm weather.
You must have this if you have a trailer where you can drive directly on and off. It will enable you to steer your ski easily off the trailer, as well as extend the life of the deck and prevent carbides from rusting while they sit there.
A second one was then bought. This is the only set I bought. I then bought another one, as I needed a second one. I really like how well they work and how cleverly they were.
I love it.
There is not a single dislike!.
I use it for my enclosed snowmobile trailer.
