This board has performed admirably for the type of riding I do. I prefer the shorter board because it allows me to make tighter turns in trees or on moguls; I'm 6'2" 170 pounds and the board never sinks on me. On powder days, it performs exceptionally well and has a lofty feel. The board has just the right amount of flex for a quick descent off the slopes and is very responsive to quick turns. We get a lot of powder in Colorado, and this board handles it well thanks to the set back stance. Although I am a directional rider who rarely rides goofy, I can assure you that the tail has enough angle to avoid catching when riding in that direction. This board is exactly what I'm looking for in an all-mountain board with a stiffer medium flex. Rigid enough for speed, short enough for tight turns and good engagement, and wide enough to keep you on track. If there's a lot of deep powder, this is the best place to start. This is a board I would recommend.
As a do- This board is the best choice for any snowboarder, whether it's powder or park, and it's well worth every penny you pay. If you're thinking about getting a warpig, keep in mind that I'm about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, and I bought the 154 (I believe it's the large) and it rides just like the 160 I'm used to. The board's extra width makes up for its lack of length by adding stability at high speeds. When I say that this board has no speed limit, I am not exaggerating. The flat-back design makes it easy to maneuver around jumps and jib features, and the shorter overall length makes it easy to maneuver around. Even on the most difficult features, the ish camber profile makes it simple to lock in boardslides and presses. This board's flex is on the softer side of medium, so I'd give it a 5 out of 10, with 10 being the stiffest, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Ride outdid themselves with the warpig, and they are deserving of all the praise. I hope this review has been beneficial!.
I weigh 140 pounds and stand 5'5" tall. This snowboard had a lot of potential for carving. For a quicker ride, a sintered base is used. It has a medium flex, but is slightly stiffer than most. I used it for rails and it performed admirably. The only thing I didn't get a chance to try was powder.
This is an excellent board! My frieds can see me on the other side of the mountain thanks to the flourescent color!.
This board gets 5 stars for powder riding without a doubt. It floats above the deep stuff and carves effortlessly. You don't need to set your stance back with the big nose, and you'll be surprised how nose heavy you can land and still pull out of it. Groomers are a smooth ride, and switching is still possible. able, and does not perform poorly in choppy snow. It doesn't have the best edge hold on ice or hardpack, but it's fantastic for powder. I'm 6'2", 210 pounds, and wear size 12 boots. The XL feels about 5cm longer than it is.
