This tube turned out to be a waste of time. Was it a thick one? Yes, but it wasn't moving because it was so thick. Because of the double layer, it moved very little in the snow. We made it about 15 feet and then had to bale out on the hill after pushing ourselves that far. I decided to cut off the bottom layer before throwing it away to see if it would help. This helped a lot, but out of the three tubes I bought for our trip to Colorado, this was by far the worst, and even after cutting off one of the layers, it was still much slower than the others. We didn't bother to take it home with us. There are so many options out there; don't waste your time on this one.
When pumping it up, I was never able to get it to a flat circle. It was always curved and had a big bubble spot on it. I gave it as a Christmas present. I pumped it up, but it was already losing air by morning. I'm very disappointed.
Winters in Wisconsin are brutal! My eldest child Friends adore this tube; it was their favorite among all the items they brought to the sledding hill.
An air mattress inflator makes it simple to fill the tube. It's simple to slide, but be careful because a stick will quickly take you out of the game. If you use PVC tubes, I strongly advise you to order extra tube patches for quick fixes.
This item does not slide in any way. We're only two days out of the return window, and we've only just gotten enough snow to put it to the test. It does not lay flat in the snow and does not slide more than 3 feet. The other tubes we're using are performing admirably. I'm not happy at all.
It doesn't slide because of the texture on the bottom. If it sits in snow, it will also retain water.
My 6-year-old popped the tube the first time he used it. It also came with a dreadful "patch. " The patch is paper thin and doesn't stick well to the tube. As a result, the tube has been rendered useless. Made in a poor manner.
It is extremely popular among children.
