Beautiful as well as quick
5/5

My wife immediately thought this sled belonged on the wall when she first saw it. The kids had other ideas, so we put it to the test: the thin metal rails allow it to sink into deep snow; To slide on, it requires a densely packed surface. We first packed down the snow with a flat sled, and then this one performed admirably and glided much further than the flat bottom sled. In fact, this rail runner performed admirably in both frozen and non-frozen conditions. areas with a lot of people br>br>It can be ridden either sitting or lying down. Pushing the steering bar to the left or right in front of you steers the vehicle. It's more of a suggestion than a command, because the sled will almost always go straight, just like the one I used to have as a kid. This one, however, isn't quite as heavy as I recall; This can easily be pulled back up the hill by a 6-year-old. br>br>On the way to the hill or around town after a snowfall, the rope can also be used to pull a child along behind you. Just make sure you don't use it on anything that isn't edible. Because it will cut through and be scraped up, packed snow with pavement underneath is not a good idea. br>br>The runners (as well as all metal surfaces) are coated in a glossy, long-lasting finish. It is rated for up to 170 lbs and one person and has a clear coat to protect it from moisture and other elements, but it didn't seem to mind when an adult and a small child rode down on it together. China is the source of this product. br>br>This would make a lovely and practical gift for any child!.

5 stars) Design of a traditional fast sled; Take into account the size of the sled as well as your budget
4/5

The Yukon Rail Runner 48" sled is a tried and true design. SAFETY: br>br> When the conditions are right, this type of sled can go very fast. Check for trees, walls, and other obstacles in your sledding path. br>br>DO YOU WANT TO BUILD QUALITY? br>br>WOULD YOU LIKE TO BUILD QUALITY? It's difficult for me to judge the quality of the construction. Overall, it appears to be well-made and has a good (if traditional) design. However, one of the running rails is out of alignment (it's bent in too far), and the rail has waves rather than being flat. The extensive styrofoam and cardboard packaging showed no signs of damage, indicating that it had not been damaged during shipping. This suggests to me that it was a manufacturing flaw. VALUE?br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b This design appears to be very similar to the original Flexible Flyer. As a result, you might want to do some comparison shopping. (It's worth noting that the Yukon sled comes with a pull rope, whereas some others don't. ) )br>br>SIZE? )br>br> Flexible Flyer sleds in larger sizes (54" or 60") are available, with three weight supports on each side instead of two. The 48" sled appears to be best suited to smaller to medium-sized children, as evidenced by the photos above. As a result, think about what will best suit your requirements.

For a Superior Sledding Experience, Excellent Quality is Required
5/5

The Yukon Rail 48" Rail Runner Wood Sled reminds me of a Radio Flyer we used to have as kids. While other sleds, such as cardboard boxes, large pans, and plastic sleds, were used, the wooden sled with red metal rails reigned supreme. br>br>One of the best things about a wooden rail sled like the Yukon is that it allows the rider to sit in a variety of positions. The feet can easily reach the steering control bar while sitting on the sled and holding on to the wooden and rails. However, if you lie down on your stomach with your head pressed against your stomach, you'll be able to see first, and the daredevil can also control the sled with their hands. A wooden rail sled has the disadvantage of requiring a lot of snow. br>br> A light dusting will not suffice because the sled's weight is concentrated on the thin metal rails. The plastic sled is better for smaller amounts of snow. However, once a few inches of snow have accumulated, bring out the Yukon for a better sledding experience. br>br>The quality of the work is excellent. Metal rivets and screws have been welded in the proper places. The wood is sturdy and of good quality; even when the sled is loaded with weight, there is no creaking or popping. The black and red paint job is professional, with a clean, crisp appearance. br>br>We're hoping that a new generation of kids enjoys this sled as much as I did with the Radio Flyer and the giant hill in our backyard many years ago, and I might even ride it a few times before it's all said and done. The quality is excellent, and it is highly recommended for young and young-at-heart people alike.

Great
4/5

This is exactly what it appears to be - For kids, this is the ideal runner sled. As a kid, I used to spend hours making these. These are the best (and one of the few that you can actually steer [which is especially easy head-on]) in the right conditions (after the snow has been packed a bit). first]). br>br>I've been waiting for snow for a long time. However, both the metal and the wood are of solid construction, with tight joints and smooth connections throughout. The length is adequate, but not excessive (I guessed 48" was the maximum). For one sledder, it's still adequate. br>br>I'm hoping it will last, and if anything goes wrong, I'll update my review.

Nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia I remember having a sled like this when I was a kid, so I was looking forward to sledding with my husband and kids on it
4/5

It's well-made, with gleaming wood (no splinters) and incredibly sturdy bolts and metal. This sled can be used in a variety of positions. Lie down on your stomach or on your head- Lie down on your back/feet first, or sit up first. You'll need a lot of snow on the ground, but once you get going, you'll be going super fast and the ride will be mostly smooth. Enjoy.

A lovely and enjoyable sled! This old- The old-fashioned sled is beautifully constructed
5/5

When we first took it out to play with it, it drew a lot of attention; Because all of the other kids had plastic sleds, they thought this one was pretty cool. It's a lovely-looking place. It's a nice-looking sled that'll hold up to a lot of use. It is not inexpensive, but if properly cared for, it should last a long time and provide many happy childhood memories, so I believe it is a worthwhile investment.
