You chose the variety pack, which includes a variety of toe, hand, and body warmers in various sizes. Each one is wrapped in its own unique package. They only need to open one of the packages, and the ingredients will be activated once they are exposed to the air. They don't get very hot, but they'll suffice if it's not too cold outside; I keep them in my pockets for football games and other activities.
I can't say how long they last exactly, but it's a long time; it should last through a football game or close to it. In the winter, my husband likes to wear them in his boots to keep his feet warm.
I was surprised to learn that they are (on occasion)! They solidify after use, so you must break up the contents before shaking and exposing them to air to reactivate them.
We purchased the property in November of 2014. Warming toes: 2/6/2016. Warmers for the hands: 11/2017. Warmers in a hurry: 11/2017.

I am a year-round motorcycle rider (I do not own a car, truck, or other vehicle). I had a particularly difficult winter this year. With temperatures as low as 13 degrees Fahrenheit, sleet, ice, and snow (all of which are unusual for central Texas), it felt like bizzaro hell, just as The Eagles predicted. I purchased this pack in the hopes of preventing frostbite on my poor fingers. The body and hand warmers are fantastic. To keep my feet and legs warm, I even tuck hand warmers into my boots. I'm a big fan of these, and I've got a big box full of them. br> I'm not a big fan of the toe warmers. They appear to suffocate inside my boots, so they don't get very warm until I remove them. They were fantastic walking around my chilly loft (cement floors and metal stairwells take a long time to warm up). So, if you're not wearing motorcycle boots, these could be a good fit.
He works as a voltage technician and spends a lot of time outside. I realized I needed more than two sweaters when the temperature dropped and he started coming home with a pink nose and numb fingers. As a result, I went shopping until I found this. I used the toe warmers in my winter boots and have a tip for the toe warmers, because she enjoys picking up wet rocks along the shoreline. Get them warmed up and in your boots about a half hour before you plan to go outside, so they're fully activated and won't cool down during your hike or whatever you're doing outside. The first time I used them, I didn't think I'd need them, so I put them in when we were actually on the hike. They didn't fully activate and only kept my toes warm to a degree, but when I removed my boots and put them back on later to go to the pub, they were extremely hot! I figured all they needed was some time and air to fully activate. We didn't use the body warmers very often on our hike, but they were essential to our happiness. It was only used once, and it was nice to wrap around the back of my neck for extra warmth while we were resting.
I've bought these before and will continue to buy them in the future. These are what keep my hands and feet warm, whether I'm snowmobiling for a few hours in Michigan or working outside all day in the Colorado mountains. br>br>If the quality of your gloves or boots is a concern, these are a simple purchase that will ensure you never get too cold. They can sometimes make your hands too warm, requiring you to put them in your pockets. br>br>They are well worth the money, and they work. br>br>Another thing to keep in mind is to wait until you're ready to use the individual packages before opening them. They become active when they are exposed to oxygen.
When they're new and fresh, they're fantastic. I've had several last for 8 hours or more before taking a break and having them last for a few more hours. Simply put, don't expect them to work if they've been sitting in your closet for two years. When you put them in your gloves, socks, or pocket, they feel fantastic. Purchase only what you require and keep it for no more than a few years.
It's Not Just for One Time Use! These perform as expected, and the variety is welcome. However, because I often only need the warmers for an hour or so and don't want to waste the heat or money, I place them in a baggy and squeeze out the air to stop the chemical reaction. When you open the bag, they warm up nicely, and depending on how long you use them, this trick works a few times.
These would be perfect if they didn't get WAY too hot. I like the strong adhesive on the toe warmers as well as the comfort of this style, and these would be perfect if they didn't get WAY too hot. Keep in mind that even though I'm sitting at a desk, I'm still wearing these on the outside of my socks. Maybe if you're working outside, these will suffice? My husband works in construction. These are much hotter than they were a few years ago, as noted. The others don't get as hot as the toe warmers, but they're also not as comfortable to wear on your feet.

The only difficulty I had was keeping them warm in the gloves. To heat up, they need to be exposed to air, which I didn't want. To expose them to air, I'd have to expose my hands to air, which I couldn't do. When exposed to air and shaken, they heat up in a matter of minutes and perform admirably! br>br>While the toe warmers did not provide much warmth, they did significantly reduce the chill in my feet. I wasn't wearing woolen socks, which could explain why I didn't get much use out of these. br>br>I did give the rest of the pack to my sister, who was grateful beyond words.
