Questions & Answers

Are there two straps or just one in a package?

The one and only.

Can you tell me what the breaking strength is?

As a result of breaking strength measurements, the following weights were found. Where the buckle meets the strap and where the buckle goes through the hole, when approaching the tensile strength, are the areas where there is the highest stress. When high stress is applied to the nylon buckle, the strap will pull through the buckle. A person who weighs 175 lbs 1.5" wide standard straps *available in 230lbs and up The XL 22" is designed for people who weigh 265lbs or more Size 32" XL

Would you mind telling me what size I should In an effort to efficiently transport my skis and poles, I plan to strap them together. ?

By multiplying the diameter of your skis and poles, you will be able to determine the size of your poles. The tail of a cape should pass through the buckle after 2 or so strands (for a sufficient tail). I don't think much of it since they can be stretched to an extreme degree and they are adjustable this way. You can use them to bundle larger objects together if you get a set of the long size. Straps of longer sizes are used to mount a sleeping bag to the outside of a pack.

A daily use of almost 3 years has been no problem
5/5

To prevent my commuter bike from falling over at work, I use a 15" black strap to hold the front wheel to the downtube as a stop. That way, when I lean my bike against the filing cabinet at work, the wheel cannot turn. The product is excellent for this purpose. I have been using this strap successfully for this purpose continuously since I bought it on November 2, 2017, until the strap broke this morning (September 14, 2020). Three years and two months is two months short of a full year. Strap signs of stress were visible (elongation of the hole I normally connect to) for the past few weeks, and this week the strap got torn completely. The same eyelet/hole was being used every single time, and my bike was parked in front of a large wooden floor- I knew what the hole was for, every time. Since I see direct sunlight on a daily basis through a ceiling window, I thought this longevity was quite impressive, so I went right to Amazon to order it. Although I am leaving a review for my benefit, I thought I would leave one for others. In 2017, I paid $8 for it and it was well worth it, and I'm happy to see a price increase of $8 in 2018. Since then, I have received $50 (including shipping). I thank Voile for producing such a high quality product at a fair.

The trekking poles are lashed together
5/5

A pair of 15" straps was delivered to me. It has red and green coloration. There are fewer holes on the green as well as softer green. There is also a difference between the tail ends. There is a slight difference in the hardness of the red one. The trekking poles I used to extend my tent pole were lashed together. After tightly going around a pole and a grip, there was still one hole left. In addition to the first wrap, I was able to secure it with one more. There is no question that it is Using this, I plan to make a tall tarp shelter that can provide privacy for showers and changing. We tested it in the field and it worked well. My next update will be after I have gained UPDATED I used the trekking poles lashed together to hold up a tarp shelter I slept in on the 2nd night of a hike and it worked fine. I was very comfortable with the rigging, despite the lack of wind. At the same time, I held a 3 liter water bag in place with the pole.

The use of plastics is increasing Poor grip due to rubber being more slippery than rubber
3/5

It's a bummer that these straps don't work. This style of strap is not very stretchy, and their plastic composition makes them slide around on the item I'm trying to utilize them on, making them mostly ineffective. I would not recommend them. bought those straps only because I was unable to find titan straps in this length on Amazon. However, if I had just paid for the shipping charge for another website that cost more than the 2 straps I was contemplating, I would not have bought them at all.

For xc skis this is a good length
4/5

I find these straps very handy. XC ski straps are perfect for getting from the car to the trailhead, and they can also be used as backpacks or for other Until I learned they come with plastic buckles, I was not aware they were available. I am ordering those While tightening the metal buckles, you have to be very careful to not scratch the skis or any items they might rub against. These creatures seem to be able to walk themselves out of backpack side pockets very easily. After I lost two straps on my first trip out, I didn't bother to take any more. While I don't know how they get them into the pocket so deep, I'll give them a star instead of taking away a star. Just make sure you put them in a zippered pocket next time. It keeps them from slipping off of items because there is enough stretch.

I love the convenience
5/5

It is a great idea to tie such straps around skis to hold them together snugly. Velcro straps worked for me in the past, but they were too cumbersome and did not work nearly as well as these do!.

It may seem excessive to spend so much on something as basic as a ski strap
5/5

It may seem like a lot to spend on a ski strap, but the strap can be used for so many things. Whenever I head into the backcountry, I take them with me. A 15" waist works well on skis with a 109 waist.
