This hat (which is very warm) is made of a strong artificial furry material with flaps on the sides and back that come down to cover your neck. Such hats were first worn by Russian troops during World War II to help them survive the harsh Russian winters, and they are still worn by the Russian army today!

It's perfect for Chicago winters! This hat is absolutely gorgeous! It's extremely warm, and I get a lot of compliments on it. It's a tight fit; I ordered a small in white and had to wear my hair down. The inside of the hat is black with a quilted pattern, not fur like the outside (remember, this is synthetic fur, not real fur). In any case, it's still very attractive! When you live in a windy city during the winter, it also protects your head, neck, and face (with the flaps down)! In addition, the person who delivered my hat included a Russian coin and a small magnetic ladybug. ))) Thank you for being so sweet!.

This is a very well-written piece. made hat. The quality of the lining is exceptional. Warmth will be provided by this hat. I'd suggest going up a size. My daughter was thrilled with it and has received many positive comments about it. Shipping was prompt, but keep in mind that this is being sent from Russia, so allow extra delivery time.
