This value for money is hard to beat

There aren't many disadvantages to these, particularly if you're new to hockey or skating. The more expensive skates are at least twice as expensive, and while they do provide more padding, you can wear extra socks if padding is an issue or during the break-in period. I don't see any differences in the skate aside from a splash of bright yellow or an extra logo or two on the boot. If you don't like your skates to be too tight, go up a size. They must also be sharpened, which can be done at any rink.
