Questions & Answers
Toe warmers with adhesive are a good choice because they can be used on both feet. If you're worried that they'll get too hot and won't last long in gloves, try putting them in a small cloth baggie first.br>br>In the winter, I do about 5 mile hikes from - In temperatures ranging from 10 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit, cold toes are not an issue. I discovered that putting them above your toes is much more effective than putting them under them. They become wet, clumpy, and extremely uncomfortable under your toes. They're fantastic on top of toes. Stick them to the tops of your socks, just above your toes, and then put your shoes on as usual. There's no need to waste time trying to get them into the shoe on their own. br>br>I don't use them in my gloves because my wool gloves keep my hands toasty warm. Wool mittens with the ability to open the ends if desired, such as a convertible wool mitten.
In my regular (non-winter) hiking boots, I used one package (two pads in a package) for 5 hours of zero-degree Fahrenheit hiking. While walking, they keep my toes from getting too cold or numb. They aren't thick or large enough to keep your feet warm in that weather, but they do keep them from hurting. The pad is thin and small enough that you can place it under your four small toes in the toe box area without having to walk on it with your ball of foot, which could affect the fit of your boot. I'm glad I found this product; stick one on your water bladder, remembering that it's mildly self-adhesive, to keep the water from freezing over the next five hours; I hope this helps.

I received them within a week the last time I ordered - However, this was prior to Christmas and with prime - As a result, perhaps high depmand is in order right now. Because I'm out of boxes, I'm going to order another. MY FEET ARE ALWAYS COLD, SO I WAER THEM AROUND THE HOUSE EVEN IF I AM AT HOME FOR THE DAY.

I'd suggest getting it from a different vendor. For a number of years, I've bought these to keep my toes warm every year. This really helps (when it works) with my peripheral neuropathy caused by chemo. Despite the fact that this is shown in a box, the last time I ordered these, they were sent in a USPS envelop rather than the box. That may not appear to be a big deal, but the envelop failed to keep the warmers flat. Imagine the sensation of a bump in the warmer on your sensitive feet - It isn't good, to be sure. So, instead of this vendor sending them crumpled up in an envelop, order from one that sends them flat in a box.
I've been buying Hot Hands "Toe Warmers" for my wife as a Christmas present for the past three years. She enjoys her work in the outdoors. They've always come in the retail display box you see in the pictures, which is a great way to keep them safe. It's a nice present to wrap at the end of the year. There wasn't a box this year: The hot hands were thrown into a USPS bag on the spur of the moment. Now I'm embarrassed to hand these over to my wife.
When the temperature drops into the single digits, The difference between comfort and pain is determined by the second digit (Fahrenheit) and below. We've tried gluing them to the underside of the feet as well as the inside of the boot. Either method appears to be effective. I never get any real warmth from socks, but I can tell they're working because I don't have any pain. br>br>But hold on, there's more.
- We put them on the backs of our phones to keep the batteries from freezing.
- To keep our ears warm, we tape them to the inside of our helmet ear flaps. These warmers are extremely versatile because they are flat, adhesive, and use very little oxygen.
Raynaud's disease is severe in both my hands and feet. I can usually keep my hands warm with external devices I've bought, but my feet were out of luck due to the shoe issue. I found these to be exactly what I was looking for, providing gentle warmth while being encased in a shoe. I tried using them only when I knew I'd need them for the full 8 hours (I didn't want to waste money on something I'd only use for a few hours), but my feet insisted on using them anyway. I'm happy to report that after removing them for a short period of time and storing them in an airtight container, they've improved significantly. When I took them out of the sealed bag (while wearing thick socks), they were warm again after a few minutes in the open air before putting them back into my shoes. The only disadvantage of using them a second time was that they didn't stick quite as well, but they didn't move when worn with a regular, closed shoe. So, if you're on the fence about buying them because you'll only use them for a few minutes each day, do what I did and reuse them. Regardless of the cost, they were well worth it.
The toe warmers are fine, but don't let the picture fool you. They are not packaged in a neat and tidy manner. They were stuffed into a bubble wrap bag when they arrived. I wanted them to be in a nice, tidy box that could be displayed on a shelf in my garage.
I've bought this item from Amazon several times before and have always been pleased. However, I am confident that some of the items in this case are defective. When I pull out a pair, one (or both) of them usually puff up like a balloon and become excruciatingly, painfully hot (this has never happened before). I had to pull over to the side of the road this morning to remove my left shoe, and my left toes now have a minor burn mark. The one on the right was fine, but the one on the left was a snoozer.
They're fantastic. Several reviewers complained that the toe warmers came loose in an envelope, which would have irritated me. I wanted to make it clear that my toe warmers arrived in the box depicted in the product picture. I'm not sure how these toe warmers work, but I've been using them in my ski boots for years. Hopefully, this is a new batch that will perform well. br>br>After half of the box has been used, update: Awesome. Following chemo, my toes become extremely cold. Even on hot days, putting my warmers on my socks is a part of my morning routine. I use down camp booties with these inside when I'm really hurting; I'm not sure why the reviews say they don't last; I must have gotten a good batch because they last all day for me. It has a significant impact on my quality of life, and I adore it.
These aren't like the ones I've had before; they're made of a plastic that expands like a balloon, crowding your toes. Furthermore, they become extremely dangerously hot, and the entire warming process takes no longer than two hours.
