In order to make it fit, the ends had to be ground down, and the holes on the older ones were at a 90 degree angle By doing so, the nylon safety strap winds itself around the tendon a little I don't know why it works, but it does. It is a good product, but it does not perfectly fit the mast foot of my Chinook helicopter. The device worked, and I've already gone on a rough, gust-chasing trip using.
My first day of using the device broke. As compared to the original material, this one is much harder and more rigid. It is inelastic as a result, and broke because of that.
It looked like one of the four tendons I received had been used or manipulated. It looks as though the tendon's exit hole has been trimmed or folded with a sharp extacto or knife, leaving one side exposed.
Although they worked great, I had to modify them a little because their holes did not line up. They are all working fine as a whole.
