The stuff we're talking about here really makes no sense. If you wish to have better traction while surfing, you can add some to the top of your board. If you plan to surf in water that is too cold, then make sure that you buy the appropriate type of gear. The product I used was their regular basecoat and then their cold water wax as I live in Santa Cruz, California. A bit of wax is added every few sessions, and then I hit the wax again. I find it very useful, and it enhances traction for me. I give this five stars.

There is no such thing as wax that doesn't work. I've been using this stuff for quite a while and have never had issues with it. In the summer, when you sit in the sun for long periods of time, or when you crank turns on your board, a base coat helps keep it cool.
