Questions & Answers

Does it really work better if I scrape the heavy buildup and then spread flour to clean the remaining wax on a warm sunny day?

The flour method is something I've never tried. That appears to be a good plan. My go-to method is the pickle, and it works great. After scraping off the wax, I use the pickle. easier said than done

Is it possible to use an epoxy board for this?

It can be used on any type of board, including epoxy and polyurethane.

What's on the inside of the package?

a comb for picking pickles and a pickle wax remover

Is this also applicable to bodyboards?

Yes, it would work if you applied wax, but remove the majority of the wax with your comb while being careful not to damage your board.

Grow up and learn how to surf! This wasn't something you could give to someone as a present
3/5

It didn't even come with a wax comb! With a year's supply of wax and a new Channel Islands leash, I purchased this as a gift for a teenager. "Play with your pickle," it said on the box when I got it. Make no apologies. rub the pickle with your fingers "Grab a pickle. " Is this something I'm supposed to give as a gift? I'm going to buy the cannonball because these guys have a sense of humor. I'm just hoping that's not a double entendre! My older son refuses to purchase Mr. Zoggs because of the message it sends out. Well done, sir. That's what I'll do.

Awesome. I don't write many reviews, but I've been removing wax from surfboards for 20 years, and this thing is flawless; I've never seen a board look so new. Directions: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> br>1) Put your board in the sun for three minutes to warm it up. The time limit is five minutes. br>2) Scrape the wax off the board with a wax comb, removing as much as possible. br>3) Return the board to the shade and apply the pickle to it. br>br>Selling a board? This wax pickle will make it look brand new by removing every last bit of remaining wax and creating these tiny, dry, sandy wax beads that brush right off the board. br>br> br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative A bonus is included. The wax comb that comes with this pickle is also far superior to the one I've been using for years. br>br>To be honest, I was expecting this to be yet another gimmick-filled event. The "Pickle" isn't a ruse
5/5

Great product! I'm new to surfing and purchased a used board on Craigslist. I tried cleaning it with a credit card and a heat gun at first. I couldn't get very far with that, so I turned to Amazon to look for answers. Not only did the Pickle packaging stand out from the rest, but the name was also amusing. So I gave them a chance, and they didn't let me down. In overcast 60° weather, not only did I clear half the board in minutes, but the top of the board has an amazing shine to it and is ready for some fresh wax!.

It was well worth the money
5/5

This is a must-have piece of surf gear (it even comes with a comb!). The Pickle Wax Remover is *unbelievable*. I had previously (like a chump) been cleaning wax off of my boards with an old credit card and paper towels (and occasionally a heat gun when it was cloudy out, which happens frequently where I live) and could never get that "brand new" shine that I'd seen other people achieve, instead leaving a thin layer of blurry wax on my board. br>br>I decided to try the pickle, even though I didn't like the idea of a chemical-based solution (I' My board appeared to be completely new. The wax comb that comes with it is also quite nice. Cleaning a longboard can take a long time (approximately 30 minutes). In most cases, you'll need to use the comb to scrape off the majority of the wax before using the pickle to go over everything. The more wax you leave on the board, the more wax and dust shavings will accumulate around it, potentially damaging your floor. I'd suggest laying a drop-cloth on the floor. Before going to work, cover yourself with a cloth or a piece of cardboard - The shavings that fall on my concrete garage floor are nearly impossible to clean up because they stick. Do not attempt this inside. br>br>If you're selling a board, I strongly advise grabbing one of these and removing the wax before photographing it; For a wax-covered object, I believe you can ask for a slightly higher price. free board. br>br>I actually keep an old one in my car (the dust eventually settles and the pickle gets smaller and smaller until it needs to be replaced) to remove any wax from the bottom or rails of my board while I wait for the others to get ready to surf. I've purchased a few of these and will most likely continue to do so. I clean my surfboards every couple of months, as they are an essential piece of surfing equipment.

It is extremely simple to use and performs admirably
5/5

Very simple to use; I usually find that I can use it on one longboard and one shortboard before it wears out. It has a cute design and (at least in my experience) always includes a small sticker and a wax comb. Small grains of sand will get out and litter the floor, so it's best to use it outside or with some sort of covering underneath the board. It's always satisfying to have a completely clean board, and these wax removers play an important role in that process!.

Is it harmful to the environment? It left nanoparticles on the board, my hands, and the ground, which I didn't like
3/5

Since it appears to be a non-toxic substance, I was afraid that residual would end up in the ocean and be consumed by small animals. I purchased another set as a gift, but I will not be giving it away. The pickle went in the trash, but the scraper remained.

It's a real pickle
5/5

So, this thing is crazy, I've been surfing for a long time and had no idea this existed, I recently bought a used board and needed to add a traction pad, so I scraped all the wax off, used the pickle to clean up the residue, and made the board look almost brand new before putting the pad on. Just use a wax comb to remove as much wax as possible before rubbing it with your pickle.

Rocks - The pickle saved me time, which I could have spent preparing my board for a trip to Costa Rica
5/5

The board had been sitting in my office for years, waiting for a trip like this, but it had developed a wax coating on the deck and bottom due to years of heat changes and other environmental factors. Everything was thoroughly cleaned, and the bottom was polished to a high sheen. Not only that, but there's more! br>br>I had brought the pickle with us to Costa Rica to share with our friends. Our boards were either stacked or sideways on each other when we went to Witches Rock and Ollies in a boat. Old wax from colder climates was dripping and becoming gooey on my friends' boards. It was messing with my board, so I quickly polished the bottom of it with my pickle before heading out. It served as a benefit. It comes highly recommended from me.
