The skim board worked very well for my son who is just starting out.
The object was given to me as a gift, so I am not able to reveal anything. Thanks for understanding
Having bought this for my nephew as a gift, I don't know exactly how heavy it is, but I was surprised by how light it was. Approximately ten pounds is what I estimate its weight to be.

It looked great out of the box when we bought it for my son, who is 10. As a result, we felt the foam padding would be nice so we would not have to wax it, but after only two days of use the padding has begun coming off. There is a good amount of padding on the board but don't expect it to last for.
A few weeks back my son had a blast learning to use this board at the beach, however it was much bigger than I had anticipated. I was satisfied to see him finally get a run on it after struggling for so long. Stickier stuff didn't make sense for the board- it was fine as it was Our next beach trip will take place with it in our garage, although it was good as it was. The thumbs up are in order.

I don't know what this is worth, but for what it costs, I think it was worth the investment. Buying it for my grandson who lives out of state was a great purchase for me. It is still a difficult concept to acquire for him as he has only used it once. In terms of other boards I have seen for sale and his skill level, I think it is a good deal.
I bought this for my 6 year old daughter at a fair price. She is very pleased with it. Right now, she's having a difficult time throwing herself into the process, but she'll get there eventually. Exactly what I was looking for.
Money is not worth it for this item. The board sinks rather than skims when it is too heavy with material. Don't spend your money on a costly tool when you can get a valuable one for a significantly lower price.
