As soon as I noticed that the board had a defect, I emailed the company and I received a reply immediately. My son received his new board within a couple of days, and I was very happy with their service. It was a pleasure to deal with your company! The new board is perfect, and my son has had a chance to try it out already!.
Although it has only been a few days since the bock has been grinding in the sand, the wood is starting to chip off. Even so, it continues to work.
I took the black top off straight from the box after it was opened. It came off for the first time when my son took it to the beach for the first time. No thanks, it would have cost the same to return, so I guess it will end up in the trash.
One trip to the beach and you have to resurface the board. To do it correctly would cost more than what you paid for the board. So we are faking it and hope it lasts until summer ends.
Only for children under 5 years old. Was really hoping to like the boards since it seemed like a good price for a beginner board, but the board is nothing to write home about. Despite its thin texture and narrow dimensions, this board is practically not meant for kids over the age of 10 (and definitely not older children) as it is extremely flexible and thin. Yet even with this, the bottom of the board has little to no epoxy coating Basically, it's raw wood on sand, which does not make for a smooth surface to slide across. It had worn grooves into the wood bottom after only one day of use and some separations had developed between the wooden bottom surface and the There should be no reason for this. You can avoid the hassles by putting your money into better products.
Thank you for the outstanding service that we received regarding my son's board. I just wanted to say thanks. We were experiencing a shipping glitch with the carrier, and South Bay responded and went above and beyond to rectify the situation. The board was received by my son and he Once more, thanks a lot!.
What are the chances of this defect happening? We were disappointed when we bought this board as we thought it was perfect The surface is lightweight and non-skid, so my son took off on it like he had been skiing for weeks. In one day, a large crack appeared on one side of it after we took it to the beach. As the wood began to break away, the top began to collapse. That's why we bought it since the reviews appeared so good. This must be just a rare defect, the majority of the ones we get are good, so it would be great to have.
As received, the board had a large defect in the center of it which was filled in. When it was examined, the defect was even worse than it appeared, because one of the sides was loose and had chipped away. On the bottom of the board, there is also a large sliver of wood missing that looks to have just been Also, the surface finish on this board is very thin, with the wood showing through at one point. My guess is that it will wear off pretty fast. Considering I'm already in possession of the board I'm going to fill the hole, coat it in a few layers of marine varnish and hope for the best. However, I wouldn't recommend that you try.
