I'm glad I selected it. I learned of this board during my research into inflatable SUPs. As far as features were concerned, this had everything I was looking for. I really liked the design as well. When I saw it in person, it looked even better! When using your first inflatable, make sure it is inflated thoroughly BEFORE you take it out for the first time. Keep in mind that the gauge will not register the air pressure until you are at or above seven pounds. The pressure is eight pounds per square inch. In order to attach the pump hose to the valve, it must be twisted and locked into position. Do not be alarmed when you deflate the board since the high pressure valve will release pressurized air in a loud hiss. Be sure the valve pin is in the up position as you pump up the board, and rotate the valve pin counterclockwise. The inflatable is my first board, and I have been riding hard paddle boards all my life. The board felt somewhat unstable at first. With time, I began to feel like a regular skateboard under my feet as soon as I began to become accustomed to it. If you want to use a 12-inch board, make sure it is inflated fully Despite needing a few extra pumps to reach 15 PSI, the added stability is well worth it. It is easy and fast to deflate the board and pack it up. It is easy to disassemble the paddle into three parts, and everything fits into the backpack with it. Honestly, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it turned out to be. I think this is really a great paddle board pack for the price. This is a great board and I am glad I chose it.
There is nothing not to like about this movie. I love having a SUP that is inflatable! I've had a hard board for years and I love it, but it isn't very convenient to travel with. I decided to invest in a Gili after doing a lot of research for my Having inflated the tire twice now, it will become less difficult with some practice and practice will also lead to the process becoming quicker. To help speed up the process, I also purchased a Villanova electric pump but doing it all manually is not impossible. According to the description, the backpack/bag is exactly what you found on Amazon and should hold up to normal Despite the high quality of the board and accessories, they are properly matched to the board. The board is super light, only weighing in at 4 lbs as opposed to 25 lbs for most. With this board, I only had to carry 19 pounds, which was a major selling point. Hopefully, I will be using it more in the spring and summer and will update this post. When blown at the correct PSI, this board is just as stable and rigid as my hard board. I am really excited about what I purchased! Next week, there will be an update! Update
This board and I sped up the Rio Grande for about two miles. My body changed from standing to laying to sitting and dragging it, and it stood up to it all very well. Since the water was so low, I didn't have its big fin on, so I'm thankful that the two little ones were there. I would have not been able to get in and out of a kayak with my hard board, and it would not have stood up to this weather. I like this board very much!.
I gave it my honest opinion. Having paddled in Ala Moana Beach Park Hawaii for less than a year now, I can speak from a bit of experience. So now that I've used and tried a carbon fiber paddle board and a paddle board that is inflatable, I'll be comparing them. According to me, the GILI paddle board is stable enough to support two persons (one seated. Because of this, it makes it heavier and harder to fold and transport, but the 10 foot carbon fiber board was very unstable and won't allow for two people to cruise well. The GILI platform was stable enough for 2 people about 160 and 120 lbs each to sit at the same time. As it is inflatable, you can feel some give, but not enough to notice. With this paddle board, it feels like you are riding on a truck in the water, and the carbon fiber is like cutting through butter with a hot knife. With this board, I feel faster and more agile. I also got it for ease of transportation since it is not safe to drag your board all day This is to prevent thieves from stealing it. You can find your car there. A board that I can put in my car and go to the beach as soon as I get off work would be ideal. It is a good way to do a full body workout while blowing it up for 10 minutes. It takes about the same amount of time to deflate the paddle as my carbon fiber paddle. It is heavier than my carbon fiber paddle however it works. The GILI Pro is recommended for those who like versatility, ease of transportation, and an exercise board that is both fun and functional. A solid board will allow you to slice throught the waves much easier and keep you fixed in the water.
As a beginner, this board is fun to start with and will give you a sense of what type of board you want to proceed All in all, you may want to make this your main board. This is the board I recommend.
The paddle is heavy, but at this price point that is not a concern. There is no way I could fit all these things inside the backpack. With my dry bag, I can carry my life jacket, my 7-year-old daughter's life jacket, the board, repair kit, pump, my dry bag with two towels in it, and all of the rest of the board equipment with me at all times. A big plus of this fin is the fact that it tracks very well and is removable (less likely to get damaged). It is possible for me to get caught in shallow water It looks like the new model has three fins, which is actually a welcome improvement if the large center fin can still be removed. In addition, there is a handle on the front, which is more of a convenience than you would think. Finding a place to hold on the board in the center, in the front or in the back is a major convenience both when Basically, the only thing I find fault with is the handle. This isn't a major enough problem to ding a star. There is a lump if you lie on the board because it doesn't lay totally flat. You can also use the same material as a velcro wrap to hold your paddle, but the design is too short to do so adequately. The strap on the Body Glove brand that my parents own does not have this issue. Using the pro mount instead of the front handle would be a great choice It would be a fantastic alternative option to a handle) sold by Costco to look at. There is nothing better than one of these Gili boards if you can find it. Paddling with my 60 lb daughter on it is great even though I am 5'10" and 190 pounds.
