A roller brake consists of an arm which attaches to the non-scooter side of the wheel Chain stays are on the drive side which prevent the hub from spinning when the brakes are applied. By bending this strap around the chain stay and bolting to the hub arm, it can be attached to the hub.

Easy to set up.
Tested my fixie that has a coaster brake system without the strap since it wasn't included with the hub because Sram didn't supply it. When I got home, I had to engage the coaster brake after going to the bank and driving back home on rough pavement. I was thrown into traffic as a result of the bike getting stuck underneath. At present, I would have saved myself a great deal of embarrassment and weeks of recovery if I had this strap. Since the strap was put on, the bike in still running strong after over a thousand miles. This unit seems like it will last forever and is not going to require any readjustment.
