Lifetime Lotus Sit-On-Top Kayak with Paddle

After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase this kayak. I was a little dubious at first, but the majority of the reviews convinced me otherwise. The kayak is perfect for what I need it for. When the front passenger seat is puffed back all the way, the bed fits in the back of my Ford Escape at 8 feet. I can easily carry it under one arm since it only weighs 38 pounds. There is an adjustable backrest that is A cushion is necessary after a few hours as the hard plastic can be uncomfortable. Because it is so long, it will not tack straight, but all you have to do is to adjust how deep you paddle so that the boat does not wobble at all. Having been to nearly every inch of Lake Nighthorse here in Durango, CO, I can fit into and out of small spaces with ease. Due to the man-made nature of this lake, there are a lot of dead trees that jut out of the water, and I enjoy exploring the shoreline while maneuvering this little kayak between them. With a bigger one, I would never be able to do it. There is no way you can win any races with this little kayak, but it is a great way to enjoy relaxing paddling in calm water or water with moderate On the other hand, I did get caught out on the lake one day when the wind whipped up and caused a few I didn't fear that my kayak would tip as it rocked quite a bit, and I was able to paddle all the way back to the boat launch even though it was rocking quite a bit. My red one like it was $165 in WalMart. I paid $350 for my blue one and $165 for my red one. It was only the names on the kayaks that differed. There was also a cheaper kayak with a bad paddle with the cheaper kayak in Walmart. This is the Lotus, and that red one in Walmart was a Daylite. You get wet with that paddle because it is shorter and the paddle has actual channels for catching water, and there is nothing on the handle to catch water, so you get soaked with it. One of these kayaks should be purchased along with a second one (there is a package deal for two), so you always have someone with you. This little kayak has been a great purchase for me. I am very happy with it and have enjoyed it very much.

(See photo) My three kids (ages 16, 18 and 25) used it at the same time. Both of the ones I ordered have been well received by my husband and me. The Buffalo River was the site of a 10 mile kayak trip with a group of teenage girls a couple of weeks ago. When we had just started on our kayak, one of the girls switched to a sit-on-top kayak to see what it was like Upon discovering the inner style of her new craft, she became very upset and wanted it back. Just yesterday, we went out on the lake to play The kayaks we had among us were of varying sizes and styles. During one of the boys' sit-ups, one boy flipped over and fell to the ground Two of my kids were on the Lifetime sitcom Paddling a kayak. In an effort to see whether we could swamp our kayak, one of the friends did exactly that. In order to flip it, he had to work for a while. Do I need to mention how stable they are? Finally, he got it flipped over, then somehow managed to get his feet back onto it and got back up. It can be done in less than a minute. Within the next week or two, we will purchase a third. This site is very stable - Getting back aboard from deep water can be done easily on your own (whether you are swimming or any other activity)
There is no possibility for the boat to be swamped! This is a very safe place! It's always great to have a small cooler or dry bag on the back of the bike. I highly recommend it*- By grabbing the smooth grooved handhold in the middle, you can carry it yourself. We like that the back is flat so we can store it standing up (looks good in the corner of our teenager's room)

I haven't encountered any waves as large as this on this lake yet because of the strong wind. I was impressed with the stability of this kayak!.

I wish we could go treasure hunting on the Delaware River after our first trip out. But our second trip went very differently (at least, that's what we hear). While we were going with the current this time, we didn't realize what adventure we were about to embark on, so we checked out a new area near some rocks 200 yards away. This is how both of us made our way through the Foul Rift Rapids. Both of us were extremely scared, to the point where she almost threw up. While screaming for her to paddle (it wasn't a waterfall), she went over what she termed a baby waterfall. I managed to kick off of the kayak and me even though we got stuck on a giant rock sticking out of the water. After another set of rapids, which weren't as bad as the first set, we got off the boat at the next boat launch. You can see the point but there is more to this story. It was not scary. We didn't fall off and they did a great job draining the water. All the kayaks do receive some light scrapes and some deeper scratches after that, but holy cow do those things This was a fool's mistake, and I'm aware of it. The only con I have is that I had to keep adjusting the back support strap and they should have a handle on the side like a car door handles for crazy situations like we were in.

I'm just glad we didn't get hurt. I'm just kidding about the second con. The description should mention that I am a very tall man who weighs 240 pounds with a height of 6'5". I would estimate that my daughter weighs about 125lbs and is about 5"11 tall. I was able to use these kayaks without issue because they have a weight limit of 250 lbs.

Easy to use, sturdy, and very practical, kayaks are a great choice. This summer, we have been paddling around the lake a lot! The dog swims with us, and I can have him climb up on the front section of the kayak as well as me in the seat. While he sits in the front section, I will be able to paddle around with him. There is no question that this dog is not small. His weight is about 80 pounds. Despite the kayak's stability, it is easy to paddle. The paddles come with them, and they are fine. The best part of my day! A great deal at a reasonable price!.
