No, that is not true. In my opinion, it is insecure. I am 5'4" 120 pounds and I have been kayaking on rapids for quite some time. On calm water, I had this thing flip over.
My three and five year old use it now, and I anticipate that it will be appropriate for kids up to or maybe even beyond age nine or ten. Children between the ages of 6 and 9 are tough to buy for, but if I were you I would not purchase items for those between the ages of 9 and 10 If you are starting out, a small kayak would be a good idea.
It is not possible to sit here.
The answer is yes, and The only time I'd recommend it is if you are a child or weighing less than 140 pounds.

For kids to use at the lake, it is a small plastic boat. The advanced elements dragonfly is an inflatable kayak I used for many years. I am a highly competent kayaker with a number of sit on top and sit in plastic models. Upon reading some of the reviews, I was a little concerned about the stability and use in a large body of water. This is the gift I got for my 12th birthday. About 5' tall and 95 pounds, he is 5 years old. Using an area of the lake in a quieter section, we tossed in the can. is completely flat on the bottom, so it cannot prevent side slippage. A cheap paddle that can be used for any purpose, but is lightweight, easy to maneuver, and works well. A big lake with big waves and strong winds wouldn't be a good fit, nor would the ocean or white water. I was a bit tippy for a while, but when I found the sweet spot, I paddled for 10 minutes by hand with one leg in each corner. There was about 3" above the water line for me, and I weigh 200 pounds and am 6' tall. This boat is safe for kids from *4 to *13 to paddle around on a lake with some boat wake and plenty of minor chop. I've seen a family with 4 kids bring this boat to the same lake with boat wake and minor chop without any It's a great boat to play around on that you have to be diligent about not causing damage, tipping over, or flooding. This is for 80-year-olds My son asks for this kind of boat, which is perfect for playing on the beach since it is easy to pack and convenient to take. Adults should not even try this even the tiniest children should not. Kayaking on white water is not possible with this kayak. The ocean does not need it. The water does not belong to Paddling back and forth from where you started is not the best way to use it. This is an opportunity to use a pickup or SUV in calm water and turn it into a toy for kids up to the teen years. Additionally, I saw someone comment that boat registration is required. The back of the vehicle is marked with a registration plate. Having a boat under 8' with no engine on it that is unmotored does not need to be registered, insured or pay boat launch fees in California or most other states that I am aware of.
Kayaking in a not-so-hot climate is something I wanted to do for myself, for summer fun It's too much- The water in a lake or pond may be rough. Despite being 5'3" tall and weighing 125 pounds, the size fits me well That's about it. No matter how I sit, stand, kneel or lie down on it, it remains stable in the water. A more substantial paddle might be a better option for me, but I might use the paddle that came with it for now. A kayak that fits into the bed of my pickup and is easy to store is also appealing to me.
