This is a 48 lb. dog.
Having not tried a lot of kayaks, I think this would be the case. This is a recreational kayak/fishing kayak with a removable seat. offers a stable, comfortable, durable piece of furniture that includes storage compartments or storage areas. I'd guess that a "fast" kayak would be very narrow, perhaps a bit longer, and not very heavy. Some people consider this to be wider.
If you're looking for a boat for less than $500, this is a good choice. Each color has a different price. Dick's Sports Goods has a huge selection of merchandise. Perception Hook comes with a rod holder and anchor and is marketed as "the easy fishing hook".
It's not at all the case. There is a lot of space in Kyack

If you decide to purchase a kayak through Amazon, be sure Amazon sends you a sales receipt that states the manufacturer's ID number for the kayak! My boat now needs to be registered with the state due to an electric trolling motor I installed, which they DO NOT acknowledge via an MSO (Manufactures Statement of Origin). It would be beneficial if you could provide an Amazon receipt with the purchase price and Hull ID number. The Kayak I bought from Amazon is not a product that could be registered by Arizona Amazon was a very bad choice for me. I was screwed! Following research into all my options, I ended up choosing this Kayak as a Sit On Top alternative. For photography and fishing, I intend to use it primarily to make yearly trips to the lower Colorado river in Arizona and to the Current river in Missouri, as well as trips to small reservoirs similar to these in a medium environment. plan to also use a very small customized Watersnake Asp T18 trolling motor coupled with a 20AH battery if I have to cover longer distances on a flat surface. This is what I like. In terms of comfort, the seat is fine, but for me the back rest could be moved forward about a couple of inches It is 3" higher than normal. It's an OK seat for children at least 2 years old A little more than 3 hours until some people might have to take a Butt Break! During slightly calm conditions, the 10'6" length of the kayak is a perfect length for a general use Kayak , and there is ample storage underneath and behind the seat. If you are planning to stay overnight or take a long trip, below the rear deck there is plenty of storage space for gear. It is easy for me to carry a drybag and a small cooler between my legs just in front of my feet. In the rear cargo area, there is a Crate mold, which is very nice, with space for another cooler or drybag if necessary. A little bit of molding around the dash area is also fun! As a Perception screw user, I love that it accepts the screw I like the two small molded areas for Scotty mounts (or other brand) and the elongated storage tray, which I like for storing a small Pelican Box with an Olympus M43 Camera. * What I don't like . . It was just so incredibly annoying to have rod holders built into the seats behind the seat! The rims do not sit at a right angle for me, are as well tapered as they aren't deep enough. To me, it is impossible to understand how Perception can even consider these features to be beneficial. Generally speaking, they are ineffective and I wouldn't recommend storing a fishing rod in one unless you are interested in losing it in the bottom of the lake or river. Only other complaint I have is the molded plastic in the console area of the front is thin and sags. The issue isn't that big but I would like my front console to stand level instead of sagging as it is. For mine, I manufactured an aluminum insert and mounted it under my skirt rail, using the cutout molded into it as a support. With this change I gained 1" of leg clearance under the deck as well as a lot of structural support that now creates a level paddle rest. * I also wonder why Perception no longer includes the bungee and small tab for the deck paddle storage? It seems really cheap for them not to include even a single dollar of material for something that's necessary? In addition, the bungee was dropped completely from the front deck. It looks like they are cutting corners again to save money and are unable to afford $2 parts. That's kind of a bummer. Finally, the foot braces present their own series of problems. Despite their adjustable nature, they are easily moved while in the kayak on the water if you need to shuffling around or adjust your feet at any time. If you bump them with your feet the wrong way, they can move back out of place! It is frustrating since there is no easy way to adjust them except for reaching inside the kayak on land or using your feet to monkey around and adjust them inside the kayak It's a poorly designed web page! Quite frankly, I wish they had spent an additional $3 to make the experience better It cost us an additional $5 for a plastic strap/tab that allowed us to adjust them, and once adjusted they couldn't accidentally move! I guess I'll deal with it. As a whole. Although the kayak has a few minor flaws, it is quite usable, and despite what appears to be only minor issues, I expect lots of enjoyment and use from it for years to come. I like the way the hull tracks , but it's a bit slow but it turns well. The cockpit is spacious and with my 6' tall and 230lb body, I can easily fit in. It is very stable, and the cockpit is spacious too. It's also my 55th anniversary and find the 46 pounds of weight helps me to load and unload it easier. The Kayak is decent for multi-purpose work in moderate waters and can be used for all kinds of activities. The boat can be taken on flat water as well as in rivers up to class 2. There are a lot of questions I get from people who see it, and it is liked by everyone. Because of the shortcuts Perception took, I gave it 4 Stars, which is really all it deserves. A person's perception. Do you have a clue what's happening? Don't be so cheap when it comes to $5 and above Six bucks' worth of plastic parts that we need, along with some decent rod holders molded into the plastic!.
The kayak I bought was the Perception Sound 10, and I hadn't owned one before. The Perception Pescador is ten and the Perception Pescador is five. This was a very comfortable and stable sound system. In this kayak there is only one downside the paddle holder was once included and can be seen in some pictures, however it is no longer a standard feature. This clip came with a bungee, so I had to add it to the kit. I am not sure why they would discontinue such a great feature, as this is marketed as a fishing or recreational Whenever you go fishing, you would need a place to secure the paddle.
Although I'm a big guy weighing 230 pounds and have used several Ascend kayaks before, this one is by far the most comfortable and also rides higher in the water vs. most others. This fish tracks well in the water and is not a slug. if you want a fishing yak that you can sit in, then this one should be your pick!.
It is a great boat for what it is. Some boats are not suited to long trips on lakes, and paddles like a barge over moderate power, but we wanted something we could knock around on gravel creeks with, and this boat is quite stable, durable, and tracks well. You couldn't ask for more on the job, but if you're going to put more miles on it, you should consider something sleeker and longer.
I saw my husband catch 18 fish for the first time when we went fishing There was a lot of happiness in his life. Though we hoped the groves on the bottom would help keep the kayak from slipping, it still moved significantly more than his old 12' kayak, but was still very stable. It was easier for him to turn if he could turn easily. Rod holders will need to be fashioned by you so be prepared to spend some time on them. It comes in very handy to have a milk crate groove in the back.
This does not track very straight, but I could also be doing something wrong. There's nothing I don't like about this seat, and it feels sturdy and comfortable. You can't go very fast with it.
The kayak I own is awesome. The weight is super light, and the stability is excellent.
I would recommend it. The kayak is my first and I have been very satisfied with it. My height is 6'2" and I weigh 230 pounds, so the seat is comfortable. The place is very stable, has lots of space, and is very spacious. You should be aware that this kayak is not designed to be fast. The other reviewer said, "It's like paddling on a barge" and I must I have enjoyed spending time out on the water with it, as it is well built. Having just been introduced to boating it is comforting to know that it is very stable on a lake with boats leaving their I would recommend it.
