It's nice that the paddles can be switched. The ability to turn the boat is an added benefit. Nevertheless, the rider of a SUP or paddler of a sit-on-top must compromise if he or she is an accomplished paddler. I found this board to be very stable as a SUP, and if you stay on lakes or flat water, it works well. SUP is a great sport to do in the ocean if you are like me.
