I'm a 12-year-old girl. I'm 14 and ordered an xl because I don't want it to be too tight on my skin. It fit well over my tankini top and was quite comfortable.
I had already removed the tag. It was probably made in Vietnam or China, according to my research. However, the product is of good quality.
The fit is standard for the size.
If you want a more snug fit, go with a small. I ordered a medium, and it's a little big on me. I'm a petite size 8 and weigh 112 pounds. 114 lbs.

I bought a medium and it's a little loose, but I like it. I usually wear a medium or large depending on the brand, and this fit perfectly, with enough room to move without riding up. I haven't worn it in the water yet because I thought people would be more interested in the sizing. The fabric is as shown in the photo.
I wore it to the beach and while swimming in the ocean. I expected it to feel sticky and hot on top of a bathing suit, but I only wore the bottoms of my two-piece set. This was worn over a tankini and didn't feel sticky or hot at all. Because I get sunburned easily, I apply 100 SPF to my arms, legs, and face, so this is the ideal sun-protective top for me on a hot and humid day. This is something I strongly recommend!.
Because I ordered a small, I believe it runs slightly large. If that helps, I'm 5'3" and 125 pounds, and I almost bought a medium. The neck was the only part that was too tight, but it has since stretched out to fit. br>I ordered this to shield my chest after having open heart surgery and being concerned that the healed incision would be exposed to too much sunlight. It did a good job of protecting my chest.
This was a gift for my granddaughter, who is 17 years old. We bought her a long-sleeved swim shirt in the same size but from a different brand, and it fit her perfectly. This shirt had a lot of slack in it. I should have returned it, but she insisted on keeping it because she said she could use it while sitting by the pool. It was also on sale for $13, so it was a no-brainer. The total cost of the order was $99, plus the cost of returning it was over $6. Returning it isn't worth the time or money.
I was drawn to the colors and the price. I ordered a size M because many people said it fit true to size, and it arrived the next day! The shirt has a nice loose fit through the shoulders and a nice loose fit (but not TOO loose) through the waist; I ordered another one after wearing it to the beach and seeing how comfortable it was. This shirt is ideal for those who want sun protection and a relaxed fit.
This product was purchased to protect my daughter from the sun when we went to the lake. She likes the shirt, but it's a little thin, so she'll need to wear a bra or a swimsuit top underneath it, especially since it's a lighter color. It also runs small, so depending on how loose you want it to fit, I would order a size larger than you need. Because it is stretchy, you could order true to size if you don't mind a slightly snug fit.
The sizing and fit are all over the place. I bought four of these in the large size. The one with the dandelion print was just right - It's not too tight, but not too loose, either. The other three henna-print shirts were all too big, fitting more like an XL. The fabric is nice and thin, compared to the other rashguard I bought (from a different brand). It's a nice length, and it's also a little longer.
On our beach vacation, I really liked this shirt because I didn't have to reapply sunscreen on my back and shoulders as often. This one's color is also one of my favorites. My only criticism is that a tan line will appear on your arms if you wear a short sleeve shirt.
