I stand 5 feet tall and weigh 119 pounds. The small I purchased is not loose across the chest, and the arm length is a little long. I'm going to use it for swimming, so the fact that it's not loose doesn't bother me. I hope this has been of assistance.

I'm 5'7" and 130 pounds, with a 34" bust and a 26" waist, and the small fit perfectly, neither too tight nor too loose. I also bought a medium, which would be suitable for a more relaxed fit. I chose the small/snug fit because I planned to use it for diving. The small's arms were very tight, and the thumb holes made it easier to put on my wetsuit over it. If I wasn't going to get wet, I'd probably go with the medium for the airflow.
I love this shirt, but I usually have a problem with the sleeve length (too short), especially if there is a thumb hole, with long sleeve shirts. Another problem I have is a lack of space in my shoulders and arms - This can be difficult for any woman who lifts weights. In any case, it's not a problem at all with this shirt. The fit, the material, and the price are all excellent.
I'm going to place another order. This top is absolutely stunning! I'm a super Irish white woman who gets sunburned when she looks out a window. I've recently started snorkeling and needed more protection, and this shirt is perfect. I spent the entire day in the ocean and did not get sunburned. It's well-made and well-fitting. It has thumb holes, which I like because it covers the majority of your hand, which can get very hot. I'm going to order a lot more of these.
It was an excellent fit. The shirt is resistant to sand and salt water.
Because the product was a little big at first, I went down a size. I'm 5'8 and about 120 pounds, and I'm in decent shape right now. More importantly, I purchased another top from Amazon at the same time that was more expensive, and this top has fared far better. Will purchase additional items.
I really like this shirt because it keeps me from getting sunburned. The thumb holes on the ends of the sleeves helped it stay on for the duration of my wear. I will admit that I ordered a size larger than I needed just to ensure that it was loose, but I believe that if you order the correct size, you should be fine.
I spent a lot of time outside in the hot Florida sun and needed to protect my neck, upper body, and arms from the sun. I ended up purchasing two of these because they are so good. I bought x- After reading other reviews, I was expecting something a little more substantial. This is a tight fit for me, but that's the look I'm going for. It's almost as if you're wearing a one-piece bathing suit. I didn't want it to float away in the water.
The thumb holes are fantastic. The neck opening could be a little higher, but otherwise, this is a nice top.
