In fact, the Zeagle Octo Z II can be used with the Zeagle Ranger cd. It's important that you check whether your kit comes with a 27 inch Octo Z II low pressure inflator hose. Otherwise, you'll have to buy You can't use your old hose on the Octo since it has a larger hose and a quick connect.
The Octo Z II will fit from what I could see in the pictures, but I do not own a Hydros BCD. I will offer you all the information you need regarding Octo. This device consists of a standard BCD hose with a steel cable internal. Consider also that the Octo Z II is equipped with a larger quick connect than the one you would normally find on a BCD power inflator or a drysuit When you order your Octo, make sure that you have the proper inflator pressure hose/quick connection fitting. In the Air 2, a competitor to the Octo Z II is also offered by Scubapro. If you are interested in staying with Scubapro, you might want to think about it.
With it, you can wash with a garden hose connected to the flush kit. There's one part that you get on your B.C. and another on your Octo Z. We do this by unscrewing the two parts and then attaching the garden hose to the fitting on the B.C.

I just returned from a summer dive trip to the Florida Keys, where I did 12 dives in the warm summer waters. It was a pleasure to work with Octo Z II. I breathed with it a few times to test it, purged well, the mouth fit was good, and the airflow was smooth. It was easy to install and my Zeagle Ranger BCD was perfectly inflated. I am satisfied with it. It releases air easily and manually inflates easily. It does the job as it should. Having gone in this direction has been a good decision. Please take note As the Octo is connected to the corrugated hose, the hose hangs a little larger then normal and gets heavier as you swim. After a little searching, I decided to anchor the inflator hose to a utility loop on my BCD using a magnetic hose holder. I have no problem releasing the correlated hose when I dump air for my descent because the inflator hose pulls off the magnetic anchor with ease. Then when I release the correlated hose, the magnet catches and everything looks tight.
