It is possible to purchase an optional module. Connected to the regulator first stage and communicating wirelessly with the Suunto 5D, this module communicates with your suunto.

SUUNTO D4i just kept eating batteries so I switched to this one. The battery life is clearly displayed as well, there are no batteries and you can charge it via USB cable. It also comes with a usb cable, no batteries, and provides a clear indication of how much more power is left. I use this watch for freediving, so the vibration mode makes it easier for me to notice when the alarm chirps. Otherwise I might just overlook it without the vibration, but with it, it's harder to miss it. As well as the new display, I like it. I love the fact that all my dives get synced to my phone after the dive and I can look at them later and analyze them- The best buy you will ever make!.
