Questions & Answers

If these valve adapters are left on the bike, will there be air loss or leakage as a result of riding or are they simply meant to be used for inflation?

One of mine is on my bike. To use it, I remove the adapter and tighten the presta valve cap. It consists of Replacing the adapter is the next step. Taking up a small amount of space is no inconvenience when you can air up almost

Do you know if this will work with an airpump at a ?

The shrader valve will be sufficient for many gas station pumps if your tire has a standard shrader valve. In order to use any pump designed for shrader valves, you will need this if you own a presta tire. Pumps located at gas stations are included

The product I'm looking for is something that will allow me to put a schrader pump head Do you know anyone who has encountered this?

I think I understand what's going on. The program works perfectly

Are these small enough to fit in a ?

Threaded onto the valve stem, these connectors are attached to it. Once that is done, you would use your pump normally.

The reason I bought these adapters is because my girlfriend is a mountain climber
5/5

I am riding a bike. The reason I bought these adapters is because my girlfriend is a mountain climber. A friend of hers was amazed to see her bike had Presta valves, and he said, "What are those?"? Her first question was, "What are those?"? In the same way, if you have never seen Presta valves before, you may feel the same way when you see them for the first time. For her convenience, I bought these air pumps so she could use them if she ever had to put air in her wheels while on the road. There are photos of both Presta and Schrader in my collection. You see Schrader valves on a lot of bikes and on car tires if you're unfamiliar with these names for valves. The Presto valve can be found on many high-end roads and mountains. There are bicycles. When you install these adapters you unscrew the top of the Presta valve, push the top in, and you should hear air coming out of the adapter before screwing it on. With a tire pump, you can use a normal car tire. Do not forget to remove the valve adapter after the tire is inflated and ALSO DO NOT FORGET CLOSING the Presta valve after the air has been pumped into the tire. After you have closed the Presta valve, you can screw the adapter back onto the Presta valve so that you will always have the adapter on hand. I have attached three photos, from left to right a Schrader valve, a Presta valve closed, a Presta valve open, and, in the last photo, an adapter plugged into Thank you for reading this review! In contrast, Long tends to gain weight
5/5

The short version. . Here is the deal on why some reviews are five stars and one is one. There are two sizes of these adapters, long and short, and these from Slime are the longer ones. if your compressor or pump has a Schrader valve chuck that screws into the compressor or pump. They can be screwed on and sealed to the Presta valve thanks to the extra length. Then, you screw in the Schrader valve from your compressor to the other end, and it comes out perfectly sealed. Close the Presta valve, remove the adapter, and unscrew the Schrader chuck. The way you do this will leave you with no air loss. Other sellers are selling shorter adapters for Schrader chucks that you hold on to a Schrader valve by hand. The kind of gas station you'll find most often. As soon as the short adapter is screwed on, the top of the Presta valve sticks up and is able to open and allow air to come Using a short adapter with a screw-on chuck will hit the tip of the Presta valve, thus not sealing. The valve adapter is in good condition! There are several types of Schrader valve chucks made for these. If you are planning to use these long ones or any of the short ones, be sure you know what kind of Schrader valve chuck you will need.

Please be aware This psi meter cannot be used with most psi meters
3/5

Just fill in the blanks. The valves were tested on four different computers. There are too many deep holes here. I don't think they'll work with any of my 5 Schrader tire pressure gauges since I can fill up the tires with air using my compressor/pump. This is a 2 star rating. If it was 8/16 in less and would have worked with gauges too, they could have made this 8/16 in less deep. The design is bad or shoddy. There's no point in bothering. The attached picture shows the situation. Even if you grind it down a tiny bit you can fix it (I will most likely do this), but these should have been designed a little less deep in the beginning.

You cannot put a price on quality! Trying to avoid needless grief is a good idea! Make sure that you buy wisely
5/5

You cannot beat the quality of these adapters! The 'O' rings as well as the brass that makes up the enclosure are precision machined. Why would anyone buy cheap aluminum adapters with poor tolerances and cut rubber washers at any price? Sit down, people, and think for yourself! This is the reason I do not leave the adapters on my expensive E Mtn Bike. The Schwalbe Presta valves on my bike are well protected by their own caps and are They are the perfect match for these Slime adapters. To top off my tires, I use a Milwaukee M12 Compact inflator with an automatic cutoff every few hundred miles. It is an excellent inflator and I use it for both my electric cars (the ONLY maintenance they require) and my bike.

The Milwaukee inflator has a threaded, brass connection and screws into the Slime adapter with ease. The slime adapter takes all of 30 seconds to connect to my Presta valves, and I know I have a clean and tight connection. To prevent it from sticking to my Presta valve, I wet the O-ring with saliva before slipping it on. Besides lubricating rubber, wetting rubber, and solventizing rubber, human saliva (that's spit, in plain language) is also excellent for drying rubber. Are you squeamish? It is best to store slime adapters in a protective container to keep them clean. If you set them up correctly, your expensive Presta valved tubes should serve you for many changes of tires. You can get them on Amazon for less than $7/pr, so that's not bad.

The best is often the least expensive. If you prefer to do it on your own, you can go to REI or Walmart but make sure you buy the machined brass ones and please, don't ride around with your Presta valves open and Bringing trouble into the mix is a bad idea. Whenever you must perform inflation on the road, make sure you bring one of the Slime adapters along and treat it as though it were a fine instrument. I forgot to mention that the plastic adapter that comes with the Milwaukee Inflator is trash, so, throw it away!.

A design flaw is present, but everything else is fine
4/5

The author has done an excellent job on this A product has been made, but unfortunately it has a flaw in the design. In the event that the Presta valve is unscrewed all the way, the threaded end sits too close together to work with a standard compressed air chuck. Because the spring in a Presta valve is not strong enough to open an air chuck valve, the threaded barrel bottoms out on the valve stem 3/32" before the Presta valve moves in a way where enough resistance is present for an air chuck valve to be opened. Presta valve pins in an air chuck are not able to reach the bottomed out valve in this adapter, since the Presta valve sits too deep. The barrel bottoms out as soon as the presta valve is unscrewed only half-way, which allows the air chuck to open, but a more practical solution is to grind off the threaded end of the adapter and shorten it. the inside of the inner tube will always be sufficiently inflated if enough resistance exists on the air chuck to open the valve. This adapter should have a threaded end that is 3/32" shorter than the threaded end of a tire pump or compressed air chuck to make it work with either.
