In my opinion, the Oceanic Geo 4 Wrist Dive Computer is not a good choice. After a few minutes, the dive computer went off, and the whole wrist was flooded with water. I'm returning it for a full refund and will purchase another brand instead.
I will return to another reliable brand and buy that instead.
This watch is for diving during spring break, so I bought it anticipating using it. It wasn't until today that I pulled it out and read the manual that I had time to mess with it. Even though the stupid watch will not turn on - My battery is operated correctly, and I know how to operate it. Are you sure the battery is not No matter what, sending one with the watch will not be helpful if it doesn't.
During my dive, it started blinking all 0's after about 30 minutes. It continued doing this for about 2 minutes before getting shut off, poor quality, I cannot recommend the Oceanic Geo This wrist watch is the world's first dive computer.
They've been Although I would expect it to include a compass for the price point, it seems to be working well so far. This particular model came with a dead battery, which, in my case, made things difficult. My battery needs to be shipped to this address and I'm currently deployed overseas, and neither Amazon nor any store will do that. My only complaint is a very small one, which has nothing to do with the watch. However, I would have appreciated a live battery to save me time. Otherwise, I have no complaints.
This was a disappointing product. The battery on the device turned out to be dead despite the fact that it's supposed to be put into a freeze mode to prevent it from being used while it's new. After replacing the battery, the battery low indicator came on within the first day of using the device again. In theory, the illuminaten screen was meant to act like a mind of its own but it was unreliable and intermittent at best. The screen started flashing to other settings and acting up as though it had a mind of its own sometimes. In addition, the time seemed to be passing slowly. After I reset the time, it would continue to remain 4 minutes behind actual time, which happened several times. There are simply too many issues with a watch at this price point.
After the second dive it failed to perform. A great dive for the first two dives, then a complete failure on the third dive. As it is more than 30 days since the purchase (45 now), SB contacted me to request My VM had to end, so I will update this once I get a response from them.
I think this dive computer is fantastic. Under and above water, it is very easy to read and use. The DiverLog+ app is very easy to use to sync your dives to your phone. This computer has been in my possession for 6 months, I have logged over 10 dives on it, and none have caused me issues yet.
