Questions & Answers

I would like to ask a question regarding There is a silver button on the Oceanic Pro Plus 2 I have. Would you mind telling me which cable I should ?

Those are the same oceanics I have, and they work. Unfortunately, it is tricky to connect the computer to this device.

What are the odds that this USB will work with Oceanic OC?

It is not possible to download the OCL from a computer. Cables for the OCI are different and there would be an extra charge for them

Do you know if it will ?

I show that it will work with Windows 10. Hello, *br> *br> Please call 1 866 728 2293 to speak with Instructor Bill, or if you have questions please contact OnlineScuba

What are the odds that this USB will work with Oceanic OC?

It doesn't seem to be the case, I think. Oceanic 'Pro Plus' dive consoles are the only ones that work with this cable. If you need the USB cable with an adapter, you will need to contact Huish Outdoors (they now own Oceanic).

I give this cable five stars because the cable The cable is at a cost of 2 stars, however I have confirmed it is compatible with Veo 2 components
3/5

Furthermore, I can confirm that the Oceanic drivers (available from Oceanic's web site as of this writing) also work in A USB cable appears to be attached to this device The serial adapter is similar to , except it comes out as a 5. 5-inch instead of a 9-inch There is a proprietary 3-pin RS232 connector attached to it There are three pins on this With that in mind, I should also mention that the cable is not in fact driver-free and must have drivers installed before ever attaching a dive computer. Before the dive computer is connected, this cable appears (once again, before a dive computer is attached) as a new COM device in Windows (COM7 on my laptop, but it may enumerate differently on yours). It's a little better to know that this isn't just an ordinary USB cable that helps to explain why it would be a relatively expensive cable, but even at *$90, the price is still at least twice what you would expect. There has not been an update to Oceanic's dive log software for Windows in quite some time and it looks terrible. If Subsurface is not the right option for you, there are other alternatives. I rate this cable 5 stars due to its reliability A minus of 2 stars is attributed to the.

A bit pricey, yes, but it works quite The customer reviews indicate that all things considered, this product is a bit expensive
4/5

You need to put in some time and understand this concept well in order to get it In order to sync/handshake with the PDC, you must first download and install DiverLog, then install the USB drivers and then configure the "Add a Computer" feature of the DiverLog application. It worked for me, I have an Oceanic ProPlus 3 with this cable/configuration. There are other alternatives (DiveNav DCBuddy) that are equally expensive, but do not require a cable/configuration that requires a USB connection (ex. Computers and laptops only) connect to the Bluetooth transmitter by plugging in the audio cable, then you can connect to any device (smartphone, tablet, computer, laptop) by using Bluetooth control. By using DiverLog, you will be able to push/sync your dive logs to all your other devices so your information can easily be accessed virtually anywhere you have Internet access. Despite the brand's expensive price point, you get what you pay for with Oceanic. As a whole, I find it to be a good product and.

Item that costs an arm and a leg
3/5

There is no way to trust this product. There is no security on this connection. A disconnect can happen at any time. Including it with the dive computer would have been a good idea. This is a cheap USB cable, but they charge close to $100 for it.

Is what it says it is Please pay close attention to the diver's, software's, and device's instructions
4/5

Because of one of the manufacturer's design flaws, not the vendor should be responsible for keeping the data transfer running. The USB driver can be downloaded through the device's own page. You should read the Oceanic software and USB driver FAQS carefully first. Update the Oceanic PC software to the latest version, download USB drivers for the ProPlus 2 cable, then install the software and plug in the cable. Follow the initialization sequence by setting 0 to 1. When I ran it on an Intel i5 laptop, it worked perfectly I have a Windows 7 laptop running the Pro version of Windows 7. Compared to everyone else, this vendor offered a lower price for ProPlus 2 only. A grey control panel with grey rims is found on the 0 model. ProPlus 2 will NOT work with this version. A silver-metalized control button that uses a cable almost identical to the one used by the silver-metalized control button.

Unfortunately, it doesn't do what it was supposed to do
3/5

Unfortunately, the method works no where near as well as advertised. Despite the fact that it was a gift, I am extremely disappointed with the product. Installing drivers and software on my PC, then checking to make sure that everything was correct, I tried to add dives to We didn't get it. I get a "Time Out" message each time I follow the process of adding dives. No instructions or software are provided, and there is no customer support. Buy this item at your own risk.

There are some models that do not fit all Oceanic and Aeris dive computers
3/5

Some Oceanic and Aeris dive computers, such as A300, are not compatible with this device. It took two extra weeks for the company to send it, so I could not download dive logs, and it does not meet the engineering requirements for connecting to I might give this a higher rating if I were to have the computer that it was intended for.
