Since I got a big discount on this computer, I assumed that it would either be used or a model on display. Perhaps it was, but the screen arrived in a new box with everything intact and tightly wrapped up. The plastics protector was still attached to the screen. As a result of the COVID nonsense, it took me several months to test it with the Bluetooth LED Tank Transmitter Module. As part of Sarge's Scuba's training new open water students, I drove up to a local lake (Summerville Lake, WV) and went on a charter with them. Because it was only necessary to test my new rig (Mares Loop regulator and Genius computer/tank transmitter), they paired me with a firefighter who had just been Although there was not much to see in that lake, I got a chance My Bluetooth would sometimes lose connection, but I could reposition my wrist and reconnect when it did. I never worried about it, and I always have a backup hose gauge handy. I never had to squint to read what was happening- even in the murky depths of the lake. Anyway, the gear was fantastic, and I never once had to squint to read the video. It is highly recommended you get one, especially if you can find one at a reasonable price like the one I found here.
In anticipation of my upcoming dive trip, I was really excited to use this dive computer. today, and when I opened the box, I discovered the inner part was damaged and the outside display was broken. By the time of my trip, it won't be possible to get a replacement. I am really disappointed with this.
The primary reason I bought this computer was to replace my Oceanic VTX While diving, I have no trouble reading the screen on my VTX except that it is almost impossible to see it. When diving on the reef, it is excellent for darker locations but not so good. As such, I expected the computer to be around the same size as my previous one. This is incorrect. There is no way I could possibly dive with a thing like this, especially with my thin There's no doubt that it displays well under all lighting conditions and it's easy to use. I don't prefer the fact that the battery is rechargeable, not because of its size but because of how heavy and big it is. Products that require batteries to be serviced in the factory annoy me. I already had a universal pelagic transmitter which I could use, so the transmitter only pairs with Mares AI transmitters. As a result, I gave it one star less because of these three cons. Although it has some personal issues with me, the unit is still a nice one.
