The 4 won out even when I compared it to the 3, so I chose to keep it. The Bluetooth functionality is really neat for someone like me who is pretty old school. If you have already set it up, you can just press a button and it will do everything for you You can access all your dive data on your phone by simply tapping the app. So far, the software has worked very well and was free to download. (Wherever the cloud is) I even had pictures of my dive certificates stored on there. The advertisement for "Bigger Numbers" seems slightly misleading since the numbers are the same height and width as the 3, but they make use of a thicker line (like bolding the letters in a Furthermore, the screen protector does not do much to improve things. There is a problem with how well it sticks to the screen. My gear bag has one of those soft beer bottle shaped zippered 'coozies' that fits over it perfectly and protects the screen when it is in there. I would recommend this app to a friend and am very pleased with it.
A dive computer like this is a dream come true. Seeing the numbers is easy because they are so large. BT is very easy to set up and lets you download dive information to your phone once you get back. Diving log apps made by divers for divers are very user friendly and allow tracking of individual dives.
I have taken three dives so far and so far I am glad I invested. This combo is amazing because I can track my SAC rate and air integration at the same time. It is easy to see and understand. There are only a few downsides I dive nitrox and the O2 settings are a bit complex on the console, more so than my previous Aeries A300XT. Using Bluetooth to download dives is a great idea. Though the App definitely makes configuring O2 easier, I am not one of those guys who pull out their phones regularly during.
I am having trouble with this Computer still on EL7 even though I am at sea level in Cozumel, all depth and saturation numbers are out of date, because of this, I am basically useless. There is no way to manually set the sea level. Is there anything else I can do if Oceanic is not responding? After taking the battery out for 5 minutes, I put it back in. There is no help in the ins.
It's great to have such a large number. The programming language is relatively easy to learn. It's easy to learn and follow the safety stop metering and diving monitoring. We find the QD and cell phone interface to be very useful.
The product shown in the advertisement is different from the actual item. Unlike most of the ones on the market, this one does not have the quick release feature.
The battery was dead when it was received.
A very good computer for the money, with an easy to use display and a large screen that is easy to read.
