There are no signs of rust. Reviews account for these rings' low quality and say that they are not stainless steel of marine quality. I do not have experience with that. For several hours after the dives I did not even rinse them off with fresh water after using many of them on repeated dives in the ocean. I don't see a hint of rust on them. They are exactly as described and I would purchase them again.

There is just one complaint, though, and that is that the ends of the coils are not finished well, as these can scratch and catch things.
