Yes, it appears to be the case. I'd be more concerned about the weight of your canoes, so double-check the rack's weight capacity (which I can't seem to find listed here). We've got a 100-pounder on our hands. The rack works great with the canoe on the bottom rung.
In the five years that I've been shipping to Florida, I've had no problems. Northern White Cedar has a high level of rot resistance. In terms of decay resistance, it is rated as durable to very durable. Termites and powder post beetles aren't a problem, either. Thank you very much! From Kurt

Yes, these racks are durable enough to be used outside in the winter and in colder climates. If you live in a snowy area, we recommend taking your boats off the rack for the winter. Thank you very much! Kurt

I really like this rack and was impressed by the quality of the hardware and how well it was prepared for assembly (pre-assembled). holes that have been drilled A few pointers on how to put it all together. (1) Due to its size and weight, this rack will require two people to assemble. (2) Pay close attention to the part labels. I didn't realize the lower arms had countersunk holes for screws that the other two sets of arms didn't, and because of the glue and tight fit, it's impossible to disassemble and reassemble. To finish the assembly, we had to drill new holes in the lower arms.
Pieces of solid, high-quality cedar, as well as high-quality fasteners. Assembly is simple (having an assistant to hold the final assembly steps is helpful but not necessary at this weight). Keep an eye on the 4" GRK screwholes that have been predrilled - they can go anywhere. I had two end up in tenon joint holes; if this happens, simply unscrew and rescrew into the joint after fitting the poles together (otherwise you won't be able to screw the tenon in all the way). It's also a good idea to screw in the final GRKs to the feet after you've finished final assembly so you can check to see if the feet level out standing up and adjust as needed before screwing them down. Overall, this is a very solid construction.
It's made of real wood and is simple to put together. At the edge of my lakeside cottage, it looks perfectly at home. Perfect for my large canoe and kayak, as well as a paddleboard next summer!.
This rack is ideal for kayaks and paddle boards. It's a breeze to assemble. All holes have been pre-drilled, and all hardware has been provided. Sturdy and robust. And, best of all, you can move it to a new location if you don't like it where it is. There are no posts in the ground to tamper with.
It's a nice product, and it's well-made. The unit is simple to put together. It looks fantastic.
