Questions & Answers

On a drop threw board, how well would these trucks perform?

These were purchased for use in a drop throw deck. They perform admirably; They simply raise the deck by an inch, br>Benefits of having these on a drop deck: They look sick nasty BC on the bottom of the baseplate there is the gullwing slithering snake logo and it says gullwing sidewinder 2 and has a grid pattern. For a while, you'll be adjusting them to get both kingpins to work perfectly together, but once you do, it's like no other truck; I kept the stock bushings BC because they're great for bushings that come with trucks; they're a tad on the hard side, but perfect for any type of riding; When I made the drop threw, I probably got them up to 25-30mph and had to slow down because I could feel the trucks wanting to buck and get speed wobbles, so definitely not a downhill truck, but amazing for commuting or cruising around town; Because of the turning radius, it is ideal for congested city streets. Because they have twice the cushion (bushings), these trucks eat cracks like a monster. I was, however, using 83a 75mm wheels).
Cons: It took me about 6 hours to adjust the baseplate so that the bottom of the second "baseplate" didn't hit the deck (only because it was dropthrew) and I could get the full turning potential out of the trucks, they add a little more weight because there is more material, and you must get flat top hardware and washers to mount any drop threw just a note I found out the hard way now I have extra hardware which is never a bad thing; If your board doesn't have any cutouts, you'll want to make sure your wheels fit, so I'd stay under 65mm in that case. br>I recently purchased a set of ronin trucks on eBay and have not been disappointed; I used these trucks for about 5 weeks before switching to ronin's, which are unmatched; ronin's are a different level of truck. This is just a suggestion. br> If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me; I enjoy assisting other skaters. There is no such thing as a "dumb" question, so skate safe, brother.

What's the difference between a 10" and a 9"? I know it's a measurement of one inch, but what does it mean?

Trucks with a diameter of 9 inches are designed for boards with a diameter of 30 inches or less. 36" 10 inch trucks are designed for decks measuring 37" and longer, but they can also be used on decks measuring less than 37". The 10" trucks are more versatile, which is why I recommend them.

Is there any hardware included with this?

Hello,br>These trucks do not include any hardware. Thank you for your time and consideration.br>br>br>br>br>

I've got an old school board that I'd like to use to display these trucks. I have 1/4 inch risers on the board, which is 30 inches long and 10 inches wide. Are these trucks going to be functional?

They should work fine as long as you don't run too big of a wheel. To test for wheel bite, I usually put my board on carpet and do a hard lean on it, trying to feel for a gap, or have someone help me and see if there's any gap. If there isn't a gap, either add more risers or buy tougher bushings.

Can park in a parking spot and turn around! Trucks are excellent
4/5

PROS: br>smooth ridebr>Turns on a dimebr>Well builtbr>Looks goodbr>Good constructionbr>Stablebr>Great adjustabilitybr>BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE A DECK SUITABLE FOR THESE TRUCKS. CONS: br>br>
- Increases wheelbase by about 4 inches (not a big deal given the small turn radius)br>- FREESTYLE DECK IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, as pintails and other similar fish will have wheelbite before even halfway through the turn.
- Mounted below the deck, there is a lot of clearance and a long distance to kick, so get a drop through or maybe a drop deck with risers (if it's too low, the board will scrape). ) Enough Risers to clear the wheels on a pintail, which would put you about 6 inches off the ground.
***- All of these are minor flaws that can be easily overlooked. br>br>I bought these a few weeks ago and they were well worth it. I went from being unable to turn a corner on a sidewalk to performing a 180 in a parking space. When it's fully loaded, it's very stable. I've only tried minor hills and speed on flat ground; I haven't tried a major hill yet. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it. When turning sharp, be mindful of gravel and water. Several times after walking through a small puddle or gravel, I've nailed the ground. Even when the wheels are soft. These trucks are fantastic in general. They're fantastic, and I strongly advise you to try them out. I built a budget board with bones red bearings (excellent value), a ztuntz deck, generic 78a 76mm wheels, and these trucks for $120 total. Additionally, tighten the kingpin nuts on both kingpins. It's extremely touchy right out of the box. When I kick, I'd turn. It provides speed stability and responds quickly and accurately when engaged in a light or sharp turn when tightened down. br>br>I appreciate it if you took the time to read all of that. You're researching something. You did an excellent job.

Longboarding will be revolutionized as a result of these
5/5

Over a decade ago, I owned a skateboard shop. I used to sell longboards, but I never really got into it. Yeah, the gravity junkies were entertaining to watch, and it's a fun and acceptable mode of transportation if you don't have to travel through densely populated areas. These trucks, on the other hand, are absolutely incredible. It's one of those products that makes you wonder why no one else thought of it sooner. I have a Santa Cruz longboard that is quite large (10"x32") but still has an old school shape to it. It was entertaining, but it wasn't always practical. These trucks have turned this board into my go-to board; I can ride it anywhere and it's actually more maneuverable than my regular skateboard. br>br>One thing I learned is that if you have a more traditional shaped deck (with the wheels under the deck), stick with the 9" trucks. Regardless of how hard you crank down on the trucks, the 10" trucks will give you wheel bite. I have 62mm wheels and a 9-inch tire on my bike. It's fantastic to be able to use inch trucks. My children have longboards with wheels that protrude from the sides, while I have a 10-foot longboard. For their boards, they use inch trucks with 72mm wheels.

There are no complaints about these trucks
5/5

If this is your first time setting everything up, proceed with caution. These are incredibly versatile. They're great for getting around campus, and they handle the 12-story parking garage across the highway like it's nothing. The board will slide if you loosen them up enough, but because of how much they turn (and how much the board tilts, it's almost 90 degrees! ), it'll take a while. ) And because of the way the rear slides out during hard cornering, I wouldn't recommend these to beginners or people who aren't very balanced. If you haven't used these before, don't use them near a busy street until you're comfortable with them.

The ability to maneuver is exceptional
5/5

I'm new to longboarding, but I'm having a lot of fun building decks. I couldn't resist these trucks because they matched the aqua paint I used on my pintail. br>Previously, I had a lot of trouble turning on my original trucks (I'm not heavy and didn't realize I could loosen them), so I found a Carver at Zumiez and really wanted something similar to have that unique surfing feel. Maneuvring and running with my dog gives me a lot more pleasure. br>They work your muscles hard; after a couple of hours, my shins are sore.

They're a lot of fun to surf and carve with
5/5

I purchased two pairs, one for each of my longboards. br>I have mixed feelings about them. br>I have an old-style fishtail cruiser that is quite short in comparison to the pintail cruiser. br>They're great for longer Pintails because they usually lack maneuverability; with these, you'll be able to surf more through. br>However, if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, consider the following My shorter cruiser is far too unstable for my comfort, to the point where your ankles hurt from having to adjust your steering angle all the time. br>br>Overall, an excellent pair of trucks that make a longboard feel like a more expensive performing board. br>Just be aware that they are much different than a normal truck in comparison and that you may need risers/spacers. Moreover, they do not include any hardware. br>Combine them with Shark Wheele and you've got yourself a winning combination.

Changer of the game
5/5

These are truly game-changing trucks; once you've ridden them, you'll never want to ride regular longboard trucks again. Sidewinders, surprisingly, do not make the board feel loose or unstable; you have plenty of control and stability while tightening the board's turning radius like crazy. It's like riding a cloud when you combine smooth carving with big soft wheels (I use Orangatang's 80mm Kegel). It's not just a recommendation from me; it's an insistence that you unleash the full potential of your longboard; you won't be able to stop yourself! You can't go wrong for around $50, and I'd gladly pay twice that.

Honeymoon is a short period of time
3/5

They seemed really cool when I first put them together. I think I'm going to dislike them after spending some time with them. When carving, they appear to be at odds with one another. They appear to be designed for surf skaters, but I can't seem to get them to pump. No matter how tight or loose I run the bushings, they keep pushing out of the cup washers. I'm not going to keep trying because I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. For the time being, I've removed the middle plate and am using them as standard king pin trucks that are almost middling.

Legit. Good luck with your journey. Look at the image. Shred as if you were underwater. These are one-of-a-kind pickup trucks. When you put these on your longboard, it will look completely different. This design is praised by friends from all walks of life. Enjoy.
