The s/m, in my opinion. I was exactly 21 inches tall and could have gone with either an xs/s or an s/m. I opted for the xs/s and am glad I did. It's a good snug fit, but not too tight, and the two sets of pads they provide are easy to adjust. I hope this information is useful.
I have not yet washed mine, but I plan to do so in the future. I'm not sure how they'll fare in the washing machine.
My two haven't compressed in the slightest.
If you're wondering what "value" means in terms of safety, it's the fact that it has protected my daughter's brain during her competitive snowboard season. There were a lot of falls, but there were also a lot of metals! If you're wondering what it's for, I'm not sure you need any more information.

Before I bought this, I told myself, "I haven't wiped out on a bike since I was about 12. " I thought to myself, "My old one is fine. " My husband told me a few weeks ago that I should just man up and buy a new one because I ride my bike so much, and I listened, and I'm so glad I did. Because the neighborhoods around us were being paved, there was a lot of loose gravel lying around. On my road bike, I flew off my seat after hitting a lip and stones today. I felt the entire shell of the helmet vibrate and absorb the impact as my head hit the pavement; I never write reviews, but I'm writing one today because I still have a brain. There was no pain in the neck or head, and there were no issues. I ripped up the left side of my shoulder and leg, but it's nothing compared to the fact that I was able to ride a few miles home with my skull intact. If necessary, go up a size because it's a snug fit, but buy this helmet.
My electric skateboard's brakes failed as I was going downhill. By the time I realized what was going on, I was going way too fast, so I tried to outrun it. Before I went down, I had made it about 3 or 4 steps. I extended my hands to facilitate a roll, which I did, while also BOUNCING my head three times on the pavement. I ended up with a broken left thumb, a VERY broken right collarbone, road rash on both shoulders and both hips, and ZERO injuries to my head or brain on the right side (and broke my collarbone with that first hit). br>br>I ended up with a broken left thumb, a VERY broken right collarbone, road rash on both shoulders and both hips, and ZERO injuries to my head or brain on the right side (and broke my collarbone with that All three hits have left the skin on the helmet with severe road rash. br>br>I am convinced that this helmet saved my life by preventing a TBI. br>br>WEAR A FRIGGIN HELMET, PEOPLE! This one is sleeker than a bike helmet, and the value of not having a TBI outweighs the sweaty head. It's preferable to be sweaty than bloody. br>br>Search for "Session error:" on YouTube. It's easy to inhale. The photo accurately depicts the true color of the Mint (my sweater is more of a Kelly green). I ordered a size L/XL because my head is 22 inches long, but neither of the padding was snug enough, so I exchanged for a size S/M. For safety, it's preferable if it's a little tight. The matte finish has a lovely soft texture to it. I know some people say it runs small, but just look at the sizing chart, and if you're on the fence like me, I'd recommend going with the smaller size so you feel secure.
I had to mod podge over the glitter rainbow to keep it from flaking off; the black spot on the yellow in the photo was caused by a single bump on the glitter. I no longer have that problem now that I've improved the seal.
As a fortunate individual blessed with a large head and thick hair, This helmet is too tight to fit properly on my 25-inch potato-shaped head. This is my fault because I measured my head after ordering it!! My brother, on the other hand, can use it for skating. Overall, the helmet is quite nice. However, the size 8 1/2 hats are insufficient for our large heads. br> Any suggestions would be appreciated as I have had no luck finding a helmet that fits properly.
My head measures exactly 22 inches in circumference. 5 inches in circumference, right where a S/M ends and a L/XL begins. I went with a S/M and it was perfect; it comes with extra padding that I won't use because it's already snug, but if you're in between sizes, go with the smaller one. br>In the past, I've worn Triple 8 helmets and they're fantastic! It's sturdy and effective at protecting your brain, but it's also comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
This helmet is uncomfortable due to the padding (where the padding sits). My son, who is twelve years old, has been suffering from headaches. Before this one, I bought him a Triple 8 helmet, which he loved for two years. They don't appear to be as well-made as they once were. I had it for two weeks and when I removed the helmet, the padding fell out; the only way to keep it in place is to glue it. This is the last product I'll ever buy. $54 in the trash after two weeks was a huge disappointment.
After a bad fall and a near-miss with a potentially life-threatening head injury, I decided to purchase this helmet. It came with two velcro-removable "Sweatsaver" liner sets. They are different sizes, with one being larger and the other being smaller. This helmet is quite comfortable and breathable, and the "Sweatsaver" lining appears to be doing its job in terms of odor control so far. I haven't wrecked in this helmet yet, but it appears to be fairly sturdy, and I trust it to do its job if I have another skating mishap. You might take a look at the price and decide to go for a less expensive option. There are certainly less expensive helmets available, but the price is justified by the dual-purpose nature of the helmet. This helmet has received certification. I was more than happy to pay a few extra dollars for a helmet that had passed all of the required tests. Overall, a good, comfortable helmet that I would recommend to anyone participating in a high-intensity sport. skating sport with a high level of danger.
