Questions & Answers

Could anyone who has the cream color tell me if it is pretty easy to ?

You should be able to keep this helmet as clean or dirty as any other helmet unless you often fall off your bike onto dirt, grass, or you expect dirt or mud to be thrown up on you when you ride. It just needs to be cleaned per the manufacturer's instructions. To keep it clean, you could even apply a good coat of liquid car polish to it.

According to ASTM F1492, is the helmet certified Would you prefer to use standard 15 or an older one?

This helmet is Dual Certified, as stated on its product page The product complies with United States regulations. Standards for bicycle and skate safety are set by the CPSC and ASTM

Do you feel the helmet is ventilated adequately? Is there a hole in your head for air to circulate?

A few holes can be seen. It does help, but the vents aren't as big as those on a regular bike helmet. Since I use mine entirely for an electric unicycle, I don't go very fast at higher speeds they may make more of a

Is this something you can elaborate on?

Your answer is yes. The finish is not glossy, it is flat. Pencils of the Sharpie type may be sufficient.

Selected User Reviews For Triple Eight Gotham Dual Certified Skateboard and Bike Helmet

It works for me, but you may find it a poor choice for some due to its poor design elements
4/5

It is challenging to write a review about this helmet. There is nothing to be complained about in terms of the price. Compared to two other helmets that I previously owned for 100 dollars, I prefer this one. What I like about the Gotham helmet is that it looks like it truly would protect you in a crash, and I really like the way it looks as well. As a result of the foam and the lack of ventilation, this is a great cold weather helmet. As a matter of fact, I won't be wearing this helmet when the temperatures climb above 70 degrees. There doesn't seem to be much ventilation here. It is perfect for Oregon's rainy winters, but it may not be perfect for the warm summer months. A twist tensioner adjustment at the back is also poorly designed and cheaply built. An unreliable zipper will irritate the collar of a jacket due to its bulkiness. I found that every time I turned my head to the right, the knob would turn and it would Firstly, I removed the entire system from the helmet (a lot of grommets pop out and they can be replaced) then I used the thicker foam pads that came with it. I can now wear this helmet comfortably even though I have a large head. There will be some who will not be able to use this. According to my own opinion, the helmet should be given four stars as it is. The only problem I have is its poor execution of the rear tension knob, which only earns it 3 stars overall. The product has good price points but it's too hot in the summer and the knob on the rear tension is almost useless (better to just use the thick padding and tighten the The only flaw I noticed was at 18) which brought my rating up to 4 stars. I only have ever owned one helmet that I did not hate and I don't want to give it up. My dangerous helmet concept relates to wearing a helmet that I dislike, because let's face it, I don't want to be distracted while riding, and ultimately I will stop wearing it. However, this Triple Eight Gotham helmet I wear religiously before each and every ride as it keeps my head warm and dry in the cold Oregon rain. This is a cool weather helmet, but in this cold Oregon rain it keeps my head dry. I might have to find something else to do this.

A new adjustment in the point where the dial system bands attach to the helmet led to perfect fit
5/5

By using a non-traditional method, I was able to get it to work The dial system band fit can be adjusted as advertised A band is clicked into one of two holes at the point where the band attaches to the helmet and is located directly in front of each other. As a result, the circumference of the cap was reduced after it was detached and clicked onto another hole.
I have a head circumference of about 21 inches. 55cm), which is at the lower end of the size S range. ordered multiple helmets and returned all of them because none fit me The XS size is too small when thicker liners were used, the S size was too big. When the thick liners were inserted, Sweatsaver sizes Small was too large. It was impossible to turn the dials on even helmets that had dial system Despite it being size Small, the helmet was much deeper than it should be. I also had trouble with this one (Gotham) size Small because it was too loose, and had to tighten the dial system too much, but the worst part was that the dial at the back of the head was so low that it touched my neck, as other reviewers have stated. The entire experience was very The last thing I wanted to do was return the helmet when I realized there was another hole next to the one where the dial system band attached This hole worked perfectly for the band when I moved it there. Despite its apparent effectiveness, this option is not advertised on the packaging. Now that I have the right fit, I am absolutely thrilled.

Review of the 2000 mile mark
4/5

The review will take place against the following background As of mid September, I was engaged to my now fiancé, with whom I rode from Greece to Portugal by train, partly through Italy and partly through The two schwinn bikes we used for our trip are from the 1980s, and I bought them for pretty cheap. As far as a helmet goes, I was looking for a helmet that was affordable and had middle of the road quality. Bicycling just over 2,000 miles was our primary mode of transportation. All weather and temperature conditions except snow were encountered on our journey, with temperatures between 40 and While we were on vacation, it was 90 degrees. In my younger years, I owned a Bern helmet It was at Berkeley) but a dog had been stolen from our van. The boy did a good job. It all makes sense now. The reason I bought this one was it was $10 cheaper and it had fewer airflow vents, which I thought would be good for our trip I liked how it fit. Multiple times I dropped it, and once when I walked alongside a cliff while it was resting on my seat. I then forgot that I had not gotten it attached It landed on the beach as can be seen in the third picture. In town, I wore this with a Patagonia running hat which was a good match for eye protection, although the brim was thin and when wet didn't hold up as well as Bern's included brim. If you are planning on going that route, here is something to consider. The following likes The helmet is good in general. A medium quality airflow is best for warm weather (since you cannot Having the adjustable feature to secure that it is snug on your head is useful, as you can adjust it to fit comfortably. Those who dislike The price is a little high at $50, which is what I paid. I think Bern's build quality is better for $10 more. It is a good helmet for the price. I recommend you buy the Bern helmet as well and see which one fits and feels better, and then return the other In my opinion there are not a lot of differences between them, but if I get back to my van I might compare them in a little more detail, but probably not. Here are some tips that may help!.
