The product is cute but junky. It was disappointing. This is a gift for my six-year-old daughter, who is very excited. His first ride on two wheels had been just two days ago. A sunny 83° day in Texas inspired him to wear this helmet for an hour. There is an outer shell that is very thin, cheap plastic and it began to warp and melt. It is advisable to look elsewhere for a buyer. Our goal is to replace this item with one which is more durable and safe.

The child is 5 years She loves this helmet, and I can see that she's in love with it, too. The only flaw I see is that it is quite big on her, and she is six years old. 5. (I have a small head and it almost perfectly fits me). She is a little on the petite side, so I was expecting it to be a big one. I like the idea of an adjustable strap, but it makes me nervous for safety. It will fit her for a very long time. The only reason I didn't return it (due to its size) was because she loves it so much that I didn't want to break her heart. I wish I could give it 4/5 stars but it is just too.

Inside the helmet is clearly stated that M is for ages 8+ but it was advertised for those aged 5 and up I don't feel it is safe for my 6 year old, as it is very big. In response to his shaking head no, it rotates left and right on his head with the buckles positioned as short as I can without riding up his ears on either side.

The helmet is a good size for my son, however. . . it is a bit smaller than I expected, requiring me to cut off one of the paddings. After I ordered a unicorn helmet for my daughter, his helmet fit well, so I ordered him the shark helmet. Due to the sticker on her helmet, it says Medium while his says Small, which is why his helmet was too small for him when it came with all that.

It was then that I found this one, which she absolutely loved! She is 8 years old, 4 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 73 pounds. The suit fits great and looks like it will fit for a couple more years at least.

The sun didn't do any harm to this. The only way I get it is from my son walking it outside every day for four hours. In temperatures over 75 degrees F, we would not recommend using this product. However, the appearance keeps getting worse while the functionality remains the same.

When they melted for the first time, we were in a heat wave, and I just assumed it was an anomaly. A new and improved version has been installed by the company In our case, these were kept strictly within our home and did not melt in the garage. It doesn't get above 95 degrees here very often because we live in Ohio, not Arizona.

This helmet is overall a good product. My son is attracted to the lizard and it works well as a head protection. It is disappointing to see that the plastic on the helmet melted. The protective casing of the device melted from heat after being left outside for a day. The overall quality is OK, but it doesn't stand up to the heat very well.
