Questions & Answers

Would the small size fit an adult that weighs 100 pounds and stands 5'0" tall?

Inexperienced riders often complain that 187 pads are too tight, as there is a size chart available on the website. Pads usually fit very tightly. In addition to being extremely snug, they are also often uncomfortable for the first few uses since they maintain their position in case of movement or falls. The pads will begin to mold to your body as you continue to wear them on the same body parts consistently every day, so do not wear the left elbow pad upside down or on the right elbow one day and correct the following day. There is a right and a wrong way to put on the elbow pads, so pay attention. Your elbow pad is probably the most easily confused. When they are worn with long pants as opposed to wearing shorts, they will also fit differently. This is also the case when short sleeves are worn instead of The first few times you put them on and take them off, you'll find them difficult, but once you get the hang of it, you'll run with them. I'd guess that med/sm will work for your size, but you should check the site for suggestions first if you're not sure of your pad size. I weigh 165 lbs and wear a med and like Glad to hear you'll be getting pads and not a helmet or one of those too cool for pads. If you don't care about other people's opinions and avoid peer pressure, you'll have a much longer skating career. There was someone whom I knew who was very experienced and had a bad day which determined his death because he forgot to bring his helmet and borrowed one which Skateboarding will return the love if you respect it and love it.

Would you please give me some tips for selecting the size? I need a large elbow and a large ?

They have to be ordered separately, as there is only one size provided in the pack.

How do I return an item?

The return of my item was not a problem. The 30 days are just within the Amazon 30 Day Return Policy, but I would check again in your Amazon orders to be

Would these fit a 10 year old girl that weighs 95 pounds, has a medium build, and is about 10 inches tall? Is that okay?

That's just not going to happen. This is going to be a huge deal. In order to get a small medium, my wife must get them back in. My guess is that the small medium may even be a bit

Typically last for an extended period of time
5/5

A less comfortable position. The small size makes this a poor choice. The knee pads run small and you should purchase a larger size. I usually wear a medium and had to purchase a L/XL size. The knee pads follow the contour of your knee when you skate, so they might not be comfortable when your legs are straight. However, while these are minor inconveniences, they do not affect the quality or durability of the You will be able to get far more from them than from any other brand. I've fallen so many times that the fabric is barely torn. However, they won't last forever, and your knee pads are typically the first thing to go (if you're like me). When I slide or land on them, the pads move, even though they stay in place in most of my sessions. Unlike most pads, these are made of a durable plastic plate that allows you to slide through bails, rather than collide with a surface directly. On concrete, for example, particularly when combined with the 187 Killer derby wrist guards, it is quite effective. It has been sliding on my plate for a long time, and it Additionally, these pads include a lot of thick foam padding that is useful for reducing shock to a great extent. To sum it up, I recommend checking out Triple Eight Savers in order to see if you'll stay. This is great for inline skating, skateboarding, BMX, roller derby, and even ice skating. If you've already tried those, then these 187 Killer pads are the next step as they offer great protection, durability, and quality for a more than reasonable price.

It is okay to use elbow pads
3/5

As far as knee pads are concerned, they don't In looking at the size chart for the 187 Killer Pads knee pads, I was supposed to fit the L/XL size. My elbows fit fine, but the knee pads are very tight, and the bottom of each cuts into my shin (despite the fact that Because of my condition, I can't really stand up as straight as I should. Apparently, they do fit okay as long as I don't put my leg or knee through the elastic (still a little tight, but not as bad as when I put my leg through). But, I find that no matter what I do, the material of those straps really chafes my skin quickly and harshly. Thus, unless I can find a smooth material to wrap around those bands, I will have to see if the knee pads can be sold. The problem with buying roller skating products is that I have had to do so online, where you can't try anything on before buying it. It makes me want to give up on trying to relive something I loved.

My knee pads are too small around the bottom, my elbow pads fit, and the fabric feels abrasive
3/5

I ordered L/XL based on their official website, but each knee pad is way too big. Whenever I wear these, I bump into the padding in my legs so hard that I can't even stand without getting bruised. And when I wear them even for a few steps, the padding digs into my legs so hard that I would end up bruising. Though the part with the knee caps is very large. A pair of tights or leggings will be required underneath, as the material that touches the skin is extremely abrasive. It is okay for elbow pads to fit but the material is so abrasive that sleeves would be needed. It is unlikely that anyone would want these besides a person who does not wish to stand up very tall and thin. There are so many differences in the size of the knee pads that I wonder if the manufacturer mislabeled them. The experience has left me disappointed and I'll return right away.

I give this product five stars

It is comfortable and of good quality at this price. I am 5-11, 175lbs, and the L/XL fits me well.

These skateboard pads are great for Among my kids who skateboard and ride scooters, this is their top choice
5/5

Your safety and durability are assured when you choose them. I was pleased with how quickly the vendor shipped my order and how well it was packaged. In the adult XS size, my 9 year old wears a size large, and in the junior size, my 6 year old wears a size small.

It isn't fancy, but it is I purchased these for outdoor and trail skating since I've been off-road for a while My old derby gear is no longer a good fit
5/5

I haven't skated for a while. It's a good choice for that purpose, or as a starter set for people just starting out and unsure whether they want to spend several hundred dollars on high-quality gear A smaller skater might prefer end gear (or a smaller skater who does not It does not feel as soft as a fluffy pillow, but it will catch you in case of a Although these are small, they do run small. I found that most other pads I have tried fit like a M for the L/XL size Nevertheless, the size chart gave an accurate representation of size. They're designed for skateboarding and skating stances, which involves bent knees. So, if the review said they were uncomfortable stand up, that's because they're designed for a bent knee position. It is obvious that you will find them uncomfortable if you aren't bent over when you try them on. I don't think the gear is to blame for that.

I'm unable to straighten my legs or I find it hard to straighten my legs and elbows while wearing these
4/5

There is a set of triple eight elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards that I own. They are very comfortable, but they came in one size fits all and are too big on the elbows. In my middle-class family, my parents are both teachers The only elbow pads I would consider buying here were the 187 killer elbow pads since they appear to be super rugged and padded, and I am worried about my bones. I have already fallen twice in the past ten minutes, so I decided to upgrade to the best elbow pads I could find. As for the pads itself, I got the knee and elbow pads in sizes S/M. It is a tight fit for the knee pads while the elbow pads fit. A 14-inch circumference is the maximum size of my kneecaps at the crook. Because of my thin arms and size 5" I had to get the S/M. As compared to the triple eight pads that I got, the 187 killer pads feel much more secure. As opposed to the triple 8s, they have a sleeve rather than just Velcro. In fact, I prefer just Velcro I find them to be Despite this, I find it impossible to straighten my legs or my arms while It is for that reason that the kneepads are particularly uncomfortable. However, since I am relearning how to roller skate anyway, my knees tend to bend when I am skating After I learn about them, I will put them on the road for a spin to see if I can handle them. In spite of that, I'm keeping them because I feel so protective of them.

The 187 Killer Pads Set is rated 5 out of 5
4/5

A beginners set like this is great, especially if you're new to roller derby. If you're seriously into derby, however, I recommend upgrading to the more expensive option, just because they're cheaper. A skateboard, a bike, or a roller skates work perfectly for learning how to balance on wheels.
