I grew up in Illinois, so I'm used to it. In my position, I play mostly in the back four, so I need to show my dominance on the field by sliding tackle fools. Whatever the case, my hips were being broken each time I went My life has changed since I found these women's compression shorts I will never wear the traditional shorts again. I did notice they were backward for the first couple of times, but once you get used to them, they don't bother you. As well, the way they're shaped means that the padding does not adversely affect me when I touch them, which is a plus for me.

The size L is good for me because I am 5'11" (waist 33), 190 pounds, and dress size Similar to a Nike L slider. Easy to put on and take off. The mats have not been used yet, but playing soccer on artificial turf in 100° weather in California is very difficult, especially when you need slide tackles.
Will be interesting to see if the pads are effective.

This product is not worth its price

However, I have a lot of issues with the padding. They fit my daughter perfectly, but I am very unhappy with the quality. A very thin layer of padding covers the cushions. The money I spent on it does not seem to have been worth it.

Turf burns can be prevented by purchasing these products. The fields where I play are mostly synthetic, which is a pain to play on since your skin comes right off when you slide. When I was a kid, I only slid when necessary, but now I slid for every possible ball!.
