I found these to be the ideal roller skates for my son as his first pair. Skating has been a passion of mine since I was a kid, and I have purchased many different quality quad skates and inline skates over the years. With regard to the wheel and bearing quality, these are considered mid-to-low quality. They are great because they can be adjusted lengthwise even though I had to adjust the largest size for my son who is 10 since they do not come in smaller sizes. In addition to latches, laces, and Velcro straps which together keep the boot tight and secure, the boots' exterior is made from hard plastic, like those found on roller blades and ski boots. In addition to enjoying them, my son enjoys not having to rent skates from the skate park as he can go skating without having to rent them.
